Rib Room — Restaurant in Brisbane City

If I had an option to give this place more stars I definitely would. We've found a hidden gem! Upon arrival we were greeted by such friendly staff that were warm and welcoming. We chose to sit outside where we were given a small bowl of mixed nuts and lovely cold water. Within 5 minutes we'd choose what we wanted for dinner, we ordered the onion rings for our share starter and they were quite literally the best I've tried, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside and perfectly seasoned. For mains I ordered the ribs, chips and salad and out came the most delicious dish of ribs I've ever had (and I have had ribs all over the country) . The sauce was sweet and didn't miss a beat on flavour, the meat melted off the bone and was super tender. The salad was lovely and fresh, and it's so good to see radish in a salad. The shoestring fries were also very tasty and well seasoned. The size of the meal was massive and I shared some with my partner and still took some for leftovers. My partner choose the mushroom bacon pasta, it was beautiful and creamy, and was generously packed with ingredients. The pasta itself tasted as though it was freshly made and not brought from a packet. Seriously, if your considering coming here "DO IT". The place is everything you want, quick friendly service, easy to read and diverse menu that's not cluttered with too much to choose from. OH and if your partner or friend says "I don't feel like ribs!" Don't worry, they have chicken wings, parmi, pasta, pizza and a great range of sides. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and has a really great vibe. Thanks so much team, we had a fantastic date night. UPDATE 06/08/22 - I've now tried the chicken salad with blue cheese sauce, it's so good the chicken is tender and flavoursome and the cheese sauce isn't scrimped on, I wish I knew how to remake the sauce for salads at home! The greens are fresh and crunchy too! And the spaghetti bolognese WOW! I'm very picky when it comes go this dish, as my partner makes the best, but The Rib Room is totally amazing, saucey and meaty with a lovely rich tomato flavour and a small bite of heat (tiny amount of chilli, from someone that doesn't eat chilli etc, it's the perfect amount) all at once, with a beautiful spaghetti underneath and finished off with shards of parmesan. You won't even need to add salt, you can add cracked pepper if you want a little more heat, but honestly try it first because you'll be impressed with the amount of seasoning already in the dish. I'll say it again, if you haven't been here before, do yourself a flavour favour and go! We have been loyal clients of this restaurant for years now. Tonight we noticed the ownership appeared to have changed, and the menu has was different. What a disappointment the food was terrible. The maple Wings were a signature dish previously, battered, crunchy and beauitfully cooked. The ones we had tonight were average and not worthy of the price expected. The chips that came with the wings would have been lucky if they felt hot oil as they were severely undercooked. The pizza we have had numerous times previously were thin, crispy and loaded with topping and delicious but our chicken on our pizza tonight was so dry & the pizza base was so doughy and undercooked it was almost inedible and the pizza was lucky if it had half a cup of cheese on the whole pizza. Not surprisingly when I went to collect my order what used to be a bustling restaurant had 1 table occupied. What a shame to see the decline what has previously been a very consistently good quality restaurant has dropped to this poor quality. We will not...

We have tried this restaurant twice now through Doordash and both times they have delivered absolutely delicious meals (big servings) that are well packed and arrived quickly and at a perfect temperature. The first time we had the Pork rib pasta and cajan chicken pasta, they both had so much flavour and the pasta was well cooked, its extremely hard to find a decent restaurant that delivers a pasta that actually taste good, now we have found one we won't be trying any others. The second time we had the chicken parmigiana which was very nice, the chicken was tender and not dried out, the serving size definitely didn't leave any room for desert.
