I love the bread from this bakery and generally have great experiences. I have talked it up so much that people who live in in Indooroopilly make the special trip over. Today sort of sucked. Google says they’re open until 2, so I went over for some fresh baked goodness only to find the the doors shut tightly.
I thought, at first, good old Google had stuffed up yet again given the time of year, but then I saw a staff member behind the glass doors, so I thought maybe due to the heat they’ve shut the doors. As I began approaching the door, your woman just shook her head at me. Again confused, I stopped then I saw a sign in the door with the hours listing today clearly open until 2pm.
I looked at her again hopeful, but she again just shook her head and awkwardly smiled, making no move to come out and explain. I looked at the sign again to make sure I didn’t imagine it but no, there it was 26-30th December 2 pm close.
I looked at her again and she again shook her head but didn’t come out. So I ended up walking away disappointed in a bakery I’ve come to know and love. I have no idea what is going on but all I can say, as I eat my comparatively disappointing sourdough from metro is, that...
Read moreI absolutely love this café! My extra shot flat white with skinny milk was absolutely perfect, and I had such a lovely conversation with the staff while waiting for my takeaway coffee. Shout out to Ella and Tee!!! The staff is incredible, but the coffee was the real star. It's such a privilege to have an amazing Melbourne-based roaster like Saint Ali's here in Brisbane. Beyond the spectacular coffee, the café has an incredible selection of baked goods and a perfectly curated gift shop. I honestly wanted to buy the whole store! With amazing pastries and unique gifts available, you will not regret coming in. I'll definitely be back for more!
They had the most beautiful looking focaccia that I have seen here in Australia. ❤️😍
So much love for Danny’s...

The sales lady was polite and informative but she seemed not to see them. The arrangement of the shop is such that it is open to the street. Given the open nature it may not be possible to do anything but I think having a door to enter would be wise and keeping the breads inside might be a better idea. I'll wait till winter before I go again and the flies may...
