Was just going to grab a coffee but ended up having brunch here. We got a large soy flat white and one large long black. The coffee was tasty and rich. Woke me up instantly. We ended up buying a 500g bag. Food wise, they have a whole page dedicated to all types of bagels and their variations. I grabbed the Pollo Bagel while my partner had their smashed avocado. Both dishes came out fairly quickly given how busy they were at the time. The smashed avocado was simple but delicious. There was this distinctive tangy taste to it, which struck me as cream cheese and was a good addition flavor wise. The pollo bagel in comparison was more flavorful. It consisted of roasted chicken, capsicum, sun dried tomatoes, rockets and some other stuff (I don’t remember what it was). The first bite was heavenly, but I must say it was a bit too greasy for me. And I also think it could have used a bit more salt and pepper, which would have made it tastier. Service wise, the staff were friendly and professional. Everything came out in a timely fashion. I personally liked the ambiance and the vibe the cafe radiated. It was very vibrant and lively. In general, it was a good experience and somewhere that’s worth going back, especially if you are a bagel lover.

Decent location and the cafe itself is well presented. The coffee is excellent and the food is also very good quality. The cafe was a little loud but that’s not exactly anything new so wasn’t that much of an issue, could still easily have conversation. But I have to be honest it was horrendously overpriced, and full of extra fees which were not properly disclosed. 10% weekend surcharge - okay fair enough - but with the weekend surcharge the big breakfast was a few cents shy of $40 which is actually absurd even for city prices. Then to rub salt in the wound they also slap a credit card fee or an Apple Pay fee at checkout.. I prefer using Apple Pay because it is more secure, and I genuinely have never been charged a fee to use Apple Pay by any store, ever. It is simply not a thing. The Apple Pay fee was a bit over $3 which when you consider the final bill - for 2 meals and some coffee - was $67 before fees, that makes the Apple Pay surcharge over 4% which is massive. AMEX doesn’t even charge that much in merchant fees and they are famous for their high fees. All in all it was a decent experience, but the exorbitant fees left a really sour taste. Don’t think we will be returning.

Detailed honest review: Important- food was good when it finally arrived. Service/ atmosphere- horrible! WILL not dine again for this reason. Observed the owner trying to accommodate patrons as best as possible by setting up tables and making adjustments. Staff were receptive to patrons but the absolute DELAY in drink/food time was unacceptable. Coffee- 30mins Food- 1 HOUR!

For a small Cafe that Seated roughly 50 patrons at a guess, the wait time was atrocious. I was seated where I could observe most of the diners and saw they all suffered the same fate and waited between 50mins - 1 hour for food. Seated with a child, and watching other patrons seated with children it was simply not good enough with many faces growing frustrated with their wait time. I notified the manager at checkout and was not offered a discount nor a solution with a response of 'what would you like me to do about it' I responded with what could be this cafe's best response and only lifeline: "double your rate of service"! You need to cook the food quicker, turn the seats over quicker and get more customers OUT the door, so more can come IN the door. I watched numerous take away customers served coffee before the seated patrons due to having dedicated baristas for takeaway while also watching numerous customers turn away due to no seating. It really is simple, cook faster, serve customers, get them in and out in 30 mins and set the table for the next customer. I was disheartened at the managers response while pointing out to the customers waiting to pay behind me they were in the same boat and waited 1hr for eggs on toast and expressed the same disgruntled comments. I don't often 'treat myself' to breakfast with my child but with an experience like this I will continue to...
