Here's what happened

Booked a small room at the venue early March for a 40th in early May. Late arvo start, early eve finish before club opens.

They we're aware from the start, some minors attending, alcohol free min bar tab, soft drinks mocktails. All good.

Two weeks before party. They said we decided even though you got minors we will allow beer and wine on the tab if you want it as the minors are obviously accompanied by adults?

We declined but thanks for the offer.

One week before the party. How old are the minors? I said 3-17 just 10-15 of them total out of 60 - 70 people.

3 days before party. Sorry we are uncomfortable with minors that young as there is drinking in the party next door room.

But you offered us beer and wine at our party!? Yes but before we knew the ages.

Wouldn't you ask this question when we booked?!?!?!

Had to scramble for 2 days to find an available hall and decorators to host party. Luckily one available.

Prohibition truly lives upto its name. They are going to take your entry fee, let you buy whatever you want and then prohibit you from entering. On the new years night , One of friends was kicked out for having a third drink. An hour later another friend was kicked out for taking rest after dancing. I was kicked out for questioning the reasons. Few mins later 2 of my other friends were kicked out for absolutely doing nothing. As all the members of our group were sent out at different intervals for doing nothing, it is kinda evident we might have been targeted. Head of security kept giving lame reasons for sending us out (you might have been sitting in VIP space, sitting and closing eye would seem to us that you might be sleeping etc ). We payed $70 and unfortunately if your in the club u can not sit down otherwise you will get warmed for sitting down n you get kicked out why bcoz my leg was swollen coz of dancing and walking, apparently I just laid my head at my husband’s shoulder for a second and the racist guards are so rude becoz we don’t look Aussie smh I’m an Australian citizen I can’t believe brissy is this pathetic I have never ever experienced all this drama and the manager is sorry but can not do anything for what the guards did to their customers It’s New Years night and all i can say is have the shitest year for ruining ours for nothing honestly the the guards think they are god or a president of Australian Not acceptable at all I would not recommend going there first of all they do not serve proper drinks all they serve is corona no shots at all please please be prepared before going to this...
