Honestly, I probably wouldn’t go back here. Food was good, but be prepared for over priced small portion sizes; service was so slow and not welcoming (we waited over an hour for our food) and no one checked in on us to let us know what was taking so long with our food or apologized when it finally arrived or asked how we found our meal. My sister and I went for dinner and when we arrived we were one of the only tables in the restaurant (maybe 4 tables total). We placed our order within 15min of arriving (I got the chicken teriyaki and my sister ordered the wagyu rump steak special). 30min after we placed the order my sister was told that they are out of the rump steak and she could have the flank steak instead. We waited another 30min and my sisters meal finally came out but mine did not and I was told “only a couple more minutes”. My sisters food was getting cold so she ate hers and had completely finished her meal by the time mine came out (another 15-20min later). Tables that were sat after us had received their food and left before we had received ours. And after being at the restaurant for about 1.75 hours, we paid $80 for our 2 meals (no drinks or appetizers) and left hungry My meal is pictured, again presentation is beautiful and it tasted great. But not worth the almost 1.5 hour wait and price in my opinion.

Most authentic Japanese restaurant I have explored so far! We ordered the signature dishes and they both tasted sensational! They also serve fresh sashimi from fresh fish cut in front of you (in their open kitchen area). What surprised me was they cook the Champoon noodle broth by order where normally other restaurants will have their signature broth ready in a pot on the stove. Especially when every tables had their own Champon noodle at the time I was there. I will try their bento box next time as I have been staring at them making it in front of me while I had my noodle and they looked really good! 😂 Place was a bit busy so if you want to come in a group, make sure to call and make a booking first. Or else it will be hard to find a table. We were sitting at the countertop bench which didnt bother us instead we were entertained watching them preparing food. Only downside is the serving time took a while (by a while I meant approx 30-45 mins) which understandable as they cook their meal fresh by order. so be prepared don’t go there starving! Easy parking at Australia Fair Metro for 2 hrs free

I had dinner today. The food was ok but very disappointed with customer service. I ordered Kaisen don. In the menu, price is $22. I asked waiter what's it comes in the Kaisen don. He checked with chef and told salmon, tuna, king fish and scallop sashimi. When I made a payment, I checked price was charged $35. I asked woman who at the register. She said we have only special Kaisen don $35. I was upset becuase when I order and ask, the waiter did not mention about that at all. No price $35 in the menu as well. Unless if you don't sell regular Kaisen don $22. You should delete from menu or acknowledge customer when they order. It's better than they know later and check price when pay money. After I explained, the woman at register just asked me only am I ok? Not even say sorry and charge me $35, not offer to charge $22. I would like the restaurant to improve service how to deal with customer complain. Food is ok but customer service is very poor. Will not come back and recommend any friend to try.

WORST Experience ever! POOR Quality, Ridiculously Over-priced!!!! Some of us ordered the SPECIAL kaisen don and my friend ordered the kaisen don but then the waitress came back and told us that there are no more kaisen don but only the special kaisen don which is $35, the price is not a problem if the food has a high quality. However, the sashimi on the rice is soooooo THIN that it is almost transparent and the sashimi looks like left overs and even HAVE BONES IN IT. When we ordered the SPECIAL kaisen don, the waitress told us that it has a wider variety of fish and the portion is bigger. HOWEVER, the portion is so little and the types of fish it is the same as the normal kaisen don when we compared with the photos found online. We talked to the chief about the problem we have and asked him why he could not make the normal kaisen don when there are ingredients for the normal kaisen don, he lied so that we are all paying for the $35 so called ''Special'' kaisen don which is somehow the same as the $22 ''Normal'' kaisen don. His attitude is sooooooooo RUDE and start to make excuses, we asked him whats the different between normal and special kaisen don, he said that the only difference is the number of pieces of sashimi, so, we ask him if the only difference is that number of pieces, why cant my friend order the normal kaisen don, and then he the told us that the type of fish used is different, the NORMAL kaisen don uses CHEAP fish while the SPECIAL kaisen don used PREMIUM fish, the staff are full of lies and doesn't even show any respect for customers. They keep lying and having different excuses which makes no sense, THEY DID NOT APOLOGIZE at all ! WORST experience ever, RIDICOULOUSLY...
