I’ve never felt more sour towards a store that’s meant to be so sweet. I’ll start by pointing out the obvious amounts of grime in every inch of this store, i’ve seen bugs and ants in lollies and mould on the food preparation counters and various other areas. That “lovely” sugary smell is actually the layers of rotten ice-cream and other sweets imbedded into the floors and walls that haven’t been redone since the 70s if not earlier. I actually don’t believe a crime scene cleaner could handle this situation, somebody needs to get health and safety in there to protect the staff and customers, the owner of this company needs to be held responsible for the lack of cleanliness and care. I’ve also heard multiple employee horror stories from past and present employees that are enough to make you want to burn the place down. Read moreWhen I went here the first time 2 yrs or so ago the lady made me a drink that wasnt the right one and I told them and she was rude and said it was the right one. And then the other staff with her said no he’s right it’s the wrong one and she got all huffy which made me feel down. But I gave it a 2nd chance and I’m glad I did cuz the newer lady there is so nice, I dont know her name but she is young and has brown hair, she was really good when my friends son dropped his milkshake she was understanding and she always says hello and so we come here every few month’s for a milkshake and sometimes an ice cream it’s a nice place and you can play pinpall cheap. It has a good feel to it and is a good place to relax. I have anxiety and so its nice to come to a shop that helps me relax....

But I didn't feel satisfied by it, instead I regretted it. Ice cream feels like inferior mass manufactured product compared to that of other places around Hobart which seem to produce their own. Bits mixed or sauce swirled in is not generous enough. Of any of the 3 flavors I wasn't impressed by the taste. The cone also appeared like it came out of a factory rather than a tasty hand rolled looking one.
I can think of 3 places around town with nicer ice cream. One is just 2 shops away.
Also there was a lady sitting right outside the entrance smoking which I thought was pretty disgusting especially with all the kids...
