I have been patiently waiting for this wonderful place to open for the last 3 months, to my surprise today it was open so it was time to through caution to the wind dive in and order a full meal.

I was not disappointed! Visited on 17/05/2024

So we were met with a happy smiling staff inviting us to a table with in seconds of entering the store. They directed me to a nice booth, 4 seats for 2 people very comfortable and with what we ordered we needed the space.

First up an entree, it was the entree plater, fried dumplings, a spring roll and a curry puff. A nice selection. The color was a deep golden brown.

It was at this point I knew this was going to be a fantastic experience. The flavours were traditional, that means anything that says chilli or spicy take heed this mean it is traditional spice levels. Fantastic for anyone willing to step out of their comfort zone and try traditional Dumplings at the traditional spice level.

That is not to scare you off there is many dishes that don't contain chilli and spice I am just excited my pallet finally has a place to have the urge of true traditional spice sated.

Moving on to main, 2 boxes of dumplimgs and 2 pork buns. I can not say this enough the flavours and textures were so good I almost felt like I had been transported across the world to another country experiencing a cursine for the first time.

Sitting here now with the empty bowls in front of me full and content, but wishing I could fit more in to keep the experience going.

TLDR; yes you want to eat here, note the spice level is traditional but the flavour will...

I’ve seen this place open 1000 times and went in for the first time tonight. I couldn’t pick one thing to eat looking at the expansive menu, so I chose a handful of different things to try instead. For the drink, I went with lemon lime and bitters. It was a large house mixed drink with fresh lemon and lime. First dish out was the crispy honey chicken. This was a lovely fresh starter of crispy fried chicken drizzled in a lovely honey sauce. The chicken maintained its crunch even after sitting out while I tried other things. It was tender and juicy, which I find is rare with honey chicken. Next came the braised beef Bao Buns. They were lovely, albeit a little covered in sweet chilli sauce. I went hands-on with them and they did not disappoint. Finally came the prawn and chive dumplings. Caution, these bad boys are HOT! Temperature wise that is. They tasted fresh and had a nice little chilli kick also. Overall, I quite enjoyed the food here. I know there is a cool little service robot, but as I was in late at night, I did not receive that thrill. For my three dishes and drink I spent just over $40. Although I thought this was a little expensive, I did also ignore the dozens of dishes made for, and priced for, one person. If money is not an object, I highly recommend you go and sample the menu like I did. The staff were friendly and my overall...

Pretty average, food isn’t that great is bland and flavourless. Pork and duck are tough and prices aren’t cheap either. Food tastes like it has just been microwaved not fresh at all. Only food I can say that was good was the Xiaolongbao. That was very tasty. The food is pricy and tasteless. If you want fresh tasting authentic, just drive to Sunnybank instead and try one of the hundreds of restaurants there.

Also they charge you a card surcharge no matter how much you pay or whether you pay through the app or at counter? Understandable if you were only ordering a small amount of food or sides. But spending $70 for two people and then you are expected to pay a card surcharge is pretty silly. All in all it’s worth a try but you probably won’t be back. Unless you have no taste buds.

The robot was cool but sorry that doesn’t make up...
