My husband & I took our children Rashays for lunch before our movie and ordered our food. All was good with the service until our drinks were being brought to the table. The young lady, stood behind the kids, handing them their orange juices, she put two of them on the table but as she went to grab the third it fell on the serving plate, smashing the glass and spilling orange juice all over my 4 year old son. I immediately jumped up to help my son however, the worker sighed and said nothing. I asked my son if he was okay and checked him over for any glass and as I was doing so she said “there’s no glass on him”. We had to ask for napkins to clean the juice to which another male worker came over and started wiping the table. The female worker grabbed a spray bottle and wipe and began spraying the table right in front of my 3 year old daughters face to which I asked her to allow my daughter to first move before spraying it. Again the female worker said nothing and walked away. The male worker made a joke about the song being played whilst the drink was spilt on my son. At this point my husband and I were more concerned about the lack of empathy for my 4 year old who had just had a drink smashed over the top of his head and juice spilt on his new T-shirt. I asked the female worker to apologise to my son as he was quite shocked to which she turned to me and said “sorry” then went to walk away. I stated that my son may be a child but is still a person and deserves an apology too. She looked down at him and said another “sorry” with no real expression whatsoever. The manager came back over to replace the orange juice yet failed to say anything about the incident or again, apologise.
The issue with the service was definitely not the accident of spilling the drink; I get it, I’m human too and I completely understand accidents happen. However the lack of empathy for a child and the fact no apology was given was mind blowing and wrong.
After we had finished, I noticed the manger clearing our table so I approached her to have a discussion about the incident to which I was given attitude, no empathy (again) and a defensive conversation about what occurred. I asked where she was during the time of the incident and she responded with “I have another table of 20, I’ve been busy”. I said that I understand however, the incident that occurred deserved a managers input and attendance. She then said sorry and stated that accidents happen to which I responded that I completely understand and voiced my concerns about the lack of empathy. She responded, stating that I had made a 19 year old worker cry in the back room because I forced her to apologise. In no way or form did either my husband or I force anyone to apologise, we simply asked her to as our son; although only 4, still deserved an apology ? The manager was definitely defensive and not willing to converse any longer. I asked if there was someone else to speak to and she stated “we don’t give our numbers, I’m the only manager & if you call the store I will most likely answer”.
I left mind blown, disappointed and just sad that this was the experience we...

Firstly the area where you wait to be seated is too small. It was quite busy and we were seated quickly.
We were taken to our seats by a staff member, when a second staff member said 'excuse me these people were here before you' and asked us to get out of the seats so the other people could sit. Luckily the other people corrected the staff member telling them we were there before them stopping that awkward conversation.
There were TV's plastered on the wall EVERYWHERE. Very distracting, not one child could look away from the skateboard accident program that was on.
The meals came out fast! But too fast, like heated frozen food fast.
My wife and I ordered a glass of coke each, massive size and one drink was enough.
We ordered the bruchetta as an entre. That came lightening quick and was actually good. But to be fair it is only a piece of sour dough bread with some salsa and balsamic vinegar.
And for the mains. I ordered the chicken parmigiana wich came with a side of chips, mash potatoes and mushroom gravy (the gravy was $2 extra). This takes me back to my previous point, everything was Frozen.
The chips were good.
The mash potatoes were powdered and they tried to cover it up by adding a litre of butter, pepper and milk it was very runny and not nice.
The mushroom gravy was inedible. It was sticky like it was cheese powder mixed with cream.
And as for the chicken parmigiana, it was so clearly frozen and out of a box. $28 total.
The portion size was so large I left an entire chicken breast. Half of the potatoes. Everywhere I looked no one could finish their meals. What a waist of food.
My wife got the lasagne. That came with garlic bread. That was $24 and she paid $5 extra for mash potatoes.
So she had the same experience with the mash. The lasagne was frozen. I think they buy the family size one from Woolies and serve it. And the garlic bread was also frozen and dry and gross.
The grand total was $85 for the two meals, the entre and two cokes.
It was very clean. That was until the bar staff stood on the table to reach a glass.

Read moreWORST RESTAURANT IVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!! We (a group of 5) went to Rashay’s Ipswich last night for my daughters 21st birthday. My son ordered a burger with no pickles and my son in-law ordered a T-bone steak cooked medium. We also brought our own cake with sparklers so they could put two or three on the cake. (We thought candles would be a bad idea due to covid-19). I had rung a few times prior to ask about the cake and sparklers and was told we could bring a cake and they will bring it out with plates and a knife etc at the end of the meal and we confirmed this again when we arrived at the restaurant. My sons burger came with two huge pickles and my son in-laws steak came well done! After we finished eating, we were left for 20 minutes with no waitress to take our dirty plates or ask us if we wanted more drinks etc!! So my daughter walked over to the counter to order more drinks for us all. It took another 20 minutes to finally get the drinks, when the waitress finally brought our drinks to us i asked her if she can bring out the cake and she promptly came back with the cake still in the box!!!!!!! And said, “there’s your cake” No plates, no knife to cut the cake etc I couldn’t believe it! And the packet of sparklers were no where to be seen! What kind of restaurant brings out a birthday cake still in the box with no plates, no cutlery, no knife etc? We were all gob smacked! They didn’t even take our dirty plates away!!! I felt disgusted and so did every one else so we decided to take the cake home and leave!! We went to pay and were asked by whom I’m assuming was the manager how our evening was, so I told her about the pickles, the well done steak, the dirty plates being left, no attentive waitress, and the cake being lumped on the table in the box with a “there’s your cake” and no sparklers!!! No way to cut the cake, no plates or spoons/forks to eat the cake, The manager seemed a bit shocked and apologised and reduced the bill. We won’t ever go back to rashays...
