Falling Head Over Heels for Launceston !✨

My family enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the City Park Cafe on our arrival to Launceston. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and we loved how the cafe was in a glass house. I had the warm salad with a green tea and the salad was delicious, my kids had ham and cheese croissants plus hot chips which were yummy and my hubby had the ham and Brie wrap and really enjoyed it. Great spot for a lovely lunch !!

Went for a lunch by myself, had an avocado, bacon and chicken with chili sauce toasty in partner with a premium beer. Sat outside on a spicy hot day, unfortunately though with some gusty light winds I over heard that the umbrellas couldn't be opened due to wind. Safe, but would have been nice. My toasty was amazing! Freshly cooked when it came out, good balance of ingredients and not too toasted. I wasn't cramped by other people and there was an option to go inside possibly if I had wanted to. Perfect place to sit, eat and chill before heading into the park for a stroll around. Once I had finished I grabbed a banana slice, that its self was a good snack. Looking forward to bringing the family next time and seeing...

Sadly would not recommend the Devonshire teas here. If you get the Devonshire tea ask if you get strawberry jam with it …I don’t eat raspberry jam but that was all that was on offer and the request for strawberry wasn’t accommodated other than with terrible prepacked apricot jam . Then they forgot our tea order which we had to follow up on and were told the pot was made but it was never delivered to the table, it went to another table. When we finally got the tea , scones were cold and tea was very weak ( not enough tea leaves used) . We were offered hot water with a small teapot but there were two people so that would have made it even weaker. Not a good experience at all.

Have had coffee before from here...
