Went for a lunch by myself, had an avocado, bacon and chicken with chili sauce toasty in partner with a premium beer. Sat outside on a spicy hot day, unfortunately though with some gusty light winds I over heard that the umbrellas couldn't be opened due to wind. Safe, but would have been nice. My toasty was amazing! Freshly cooked when it came out, good balance of ingredients and not too toasted. I wasn't cramped by other people and there was an option to go inside possibly if I had wanted to. Perfect place to sit, eat and chill before heading into the park for a stroll around. Once I had finished I grabbed a banana slice, that its self was a good snack. If you get the Devonshire tea ask if you get strawberry jam with it ā¦I donāt eat raspberry jam but that was all that was on offer and the request for strawberry wasnāt accommodated other than with terrible prepacked apricot jam . Then they forgot our tea order which we had to follow up on and were told the pot was made but it was never delivered to the table, it went to another table. When we finally got the tea , scones were cold and tea was very weak ( not enough tea leaves used) . We were offered hot water with a small teapot but there were two people so that would have made it even weaker. Not a good experience at all.
