The service was a bit slow - we'd been seated for almost 20 minutes before we got food menus, although we got drink menus right away; we actually had to ask for the food menus, even though it was a suppertime booking. As we had a flight to catch, this made us nervous enough to consider leaving, but when we mentioned the flight to the waiter, he did speed it up a bit for the rest of our meal. The only fish option sounded quite unappetizing (mustard sauce), which was a disappointment. We both had duck instead, which turned out quite tasty. We only wish there'd been more vegetable options for sides, as the mains were a bit heavy and it really could have used some veg. The bread was also very tasty, and the wine selection was good.

Would have given them 4 stars, but within 24 hours of eating there, we both had symptoms of food poisoning. It's always hard to know where you GOT food poisoning, and we were travelling and eating a lot of random places; but based on timing and the fact that it's one of the only places where we both ate the same food, it's a top suspect for...

This is a really nice, cute little restaurant, 60m off the main drag, but completely worth seeking out. We havered a bit before going in, wondering whether it would be any good, and would have much atmosphere (it wasn’t full) but were so glad we finally took the plunge.

Sarah, the owner, was lovely and answered all my stupid questions with a smile, and actually the decor is great - kind of quirky and a tiny bit kitsch, but in a really good way.

We had all five starters on offer, between three of us, as our meal, and each one was delicious. We all had different favourites, but I think the asparagus with poached egg and Parmesan custard might just have come out on top. But really, they were all great.

After that, we shared the poached pear, sorbet and kind of caramelised shortbread for pudding and that was delicious too.

Really, I can’t praise the place highly enough. If you like tasty and very slightly quirky food in a french-ish style, then give it a go. It was pretty darned reasonable price-wise too, given the quality of the food. Go, enjoy. You...

Staff were very friendly and helpful! I ordered my main dish of duck breast which was fabulous, with the very crisp duck skin and crisp potato! Love it! They went well with the oyster mushroom and their sauces. The portion size was very good for me. However, the sweet potato gnocchi which my hubby ordered was so much smaller than we expected, there were exactly 9 pieces of gnocchi in the plate and the rest were carrot and potato, which charged 42$ same as the duck breast I ordered. The gnocchi is certainly overly priced when it compared to the duck breast. We had to get some take away sushi to fill my hubby stomach.
