FaceTime in a long time back at the south Albert market, decided upon some lunch, and after all the options of available to us (including the obligatory dim Sim) decided upon Banh Mi.

I had the crispy pork. It was a solid example of the top. The braid was crunchy and fresh fluffy on the inside. The poor was well cooked well seasoned, and the crackling was perfectly crunchy. Good amount of sauce, but wasn’t overwhelming vegetables were fresh.

Decided to sit outside, which was definitely the right call. Beautiful Sunday mid morning. Serve straight out the side window.

Not the best I’ve ever had. It was certainly delicious certainly worthwhile and a contender next time I’m in the...

Saw this place on Instagram and while I was in the market decided to give it a try. They sold out the banh mi so I ordered 2 bao buns (as the staff asked if I wanted 2 or 5) and a strawberry matcha. I wasn’t informed of the price of the items until they charged and the notification from the bank came up. I tried to look for prices but nowhere I could find the price of 2 buns (it was $19.5 for 5 and they charged me $10 for 2). Had I known 2 for $10 I would have just got 5. Went back to ask for the prices of each item and he seemed annoyed. Unsure why you were annoyed when a customer asked for pricing because you didn’t put it on the menu and no receipt was...

Visited Baba rolls for breakfast, intrigued by its Vietnamese cuisine. Ordered Banh Mi with eggs and Duck Rolls. The flavors were authentic, particularly the Banh Mi, which was a delightful blend of crispy bread and well-cooked eggs.

However, the experience was overshadowed by a significant hygiene concern. Alarmingly, we found a toothpick inside the Banh Mi, an inexcusable oversight in food safety, posing a real choking hazard. This incident, coupled with an urgent need to use the restroom post-meal, raised serious questions about the kitchen's hygiene standards. While the food was flavorful, the hygiene issue was...

The mini pork bao ($10) was definitely the highlight — full of flavour and incredibly tender. The balance between the fatty and lean meat was just right. The egg coffee was delicious. The creamy egg layer on top had a texture similar to Crème Brûlée, perfectly balancing the bitterness of the coffee. The hojicha with cheese foam was average. It was quite bitter for my taste and a bit overpriced. If you come on the weekend, you better expect there’ll be a long queue.
