I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Dandenong Pavilion, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the restaurant's decor and the inviting atmosphere it exuded. The attention to detail in creating a comfortable and visually appealing space added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

The food at Dandenong Pavilion was both pleasing to the palate and beautifully presented. The menu boasted a wide range of options, yet it managed to strike a balance without overwhelming diners with too many choices. Each dish I sampled was carefully crafted, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. It was evident that the menu had been thoughtfully curated to offer a diverse and satisfying selection to suit various tastes.

While the service I received was somewhat impersonal, it was efficient and professional. The staff members were prompt in attending to our needs, ensuring a brisk pace throughout the evening. Although lacking in personal touches, their professionalism added to the overall efficiency of the dining experience.

One aspect that posed a slight challenge was finding parking. Despite the restaurant having an enormous carpark, due to its popularity, it can be a challenge to secure a parking spot on busy nights. It's worth noting that on such occasions, arriving early or allowing extra time to find parking is advisable. Nevertheless, once inside the restaurant, the experience was well worth the effort.

In conclusion, my experience at Dandenong Pavilion was largely positive. The appealing decor and pleasant atmosphere set the stage for an enjoyable evening. The food was skillfully prepared and visually appealing, while the well-thought-out menu catered to a wide range of tastes. Although the service was impersonal, it was efficient and professional. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Dandenong Pavilion, had a dinner on February 22, 2025 which is my birthday a night I won’t forget because of a careless staff completely ruined my birthday night.

My husband had pre-ordered a special cake as a surprise for me, but the restaurant’s staff mistakenly served it to another customer celebrating their 60th birthday. Since we were already full, we decided to just take the cake instead of serving it at the restaurant. But when I opened the box later at the counter, I realized—it wasn’t my cake!

This cake wasn’t just any cake—it was a hard-to-order, pre-ordered surprise from my husband. The next day, the restaurant called and only offered a refund. But a refund doesn’t fix the effort, time, and sentiment behind the surprise. I don’t have the luxury of time to reorder and pick it up again from Laurent. The least they could do is reorder the same cake themselves and have me pick it up from their restaurant.

To the customer who celebrated their 60th birthday, I hope you enjoyed my cake!

To other customers planning special celebrations, be careful—this kind of mistake can completely ruin your day. If it happened to me, it could happen to you.

And what’s worse? Until now, this issue has not been resolved. When they called me, instead of offering a real solution, the staff simply told me that the owner had a function and didn’t have time to deal with this matter. Seriously? No time to fix a mistake that affected a customer’s special day? They need to put themselves in my shoes and understand how frustrating and disappointing this is.

This experience was incredibly disappointing. I expected better service, especially from a place we’ve trusted for so many special moments. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. Unfortunately, their response shows that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them. I truly hope they improve their service and accountability...

From a spontaneous Google search for nearby pasta, I stumbled upon this gem of a place. Starting from my initial call with Jacob to the warm welcome and assistance from an unnamed young lady (regrettably, I missed her name), and being served by the attentive Luke, my experience during yesterday's impromptu lunch/early dinner was nothing short of fantastic.

I had the Arancini, the flavourful Sizzling Seafood Plate, and the Pollo Penne. The dishes did not disappoint. The Sizzling Seafood Plate and Arancini were particular highlights for me. While the Pollo Penne was enjoyable, I must admit that warm avocado is not to my taste. However, this personal preference aside, the dish was still a delightful mix of flavors. My little one, on the other hand, devoured it – she adores anything with avocado. The well-balanced flavors of the seafood plate, with its tender calamari, and the harmonious blend of the Arancini truly stood out.

The friendly ambiance of the restaurant, the prompt service, and the thoughtful nature of the staff made the experience even more memorable. In particular, Luke's attention to detail truly made my day. He not only took my order and served my meal always with kindness and a smile but also went the extra mile to ensure everything was just right, even considering the safety of my little one with the sizzling seafood plate. His exceptional customer service and genuine care made a significant difference. It's those small gestures, like Luke's, that can turn a challenging day around. Thank you sincerely.
