Meat And Greek — Restaurant in Melbourne

Extremely disappointing. We ordered a mixed gyros platter with chips, Greek salad, and tzatziki, along with a calamari gyros wrap — both were practically inedible due to the overwhelming amount of raw white onion, sliced thick and dumped across everything.

The calamari wrap had only three tiny pieces of calamari; the rest was just lettuce, raw onion, and a single piece of tomato — the inedible top part where the stem is, which most people would throw away.

The platter was advertised as a mix of lamb and chicken, but there was barely any chicken. The so-called "Greek salad" was just some lettuce buried under raw onion, one olive, half a tomato slice, no cucumber, no feta cheese. The tzatziki was barely enough for one out of four pita slices. The chips were ruined by random pieces of onion tossed through them.

To top it off, a vegetarian at the table behind us was upset to find meat in her bowl of chips!

We ate what we could simply because we were starving, paid for our meals, and only afterward gave feedback to the staff to make it clear we weren't fishing for a freebie.

Skip this place and head to Kolonaki if you are looking for Greek...

UPDATE: Came back for the sharing menu and this thing is huge!! We barely finished and definitely needed to be rolled out of there. Only $75 !? Really good value in my opinion. Check the last two photos to see.

Ok so my partner and I went last night and when I tell you ARGHHH so good.

They only had one person on floor because it was a Monday night I reckon but the woman was super quick and there was literally a 2min turnover time between when we ordered and when our salad came out 😅

My partner got the lamb gyros and I got the chicken and they were both so delicious.

My only complaint is that there weren’t as many chips as I usually like but that’s just a personal preference I think next time I’ll just ask for a bit extra.

I’d definitely recommend going on a quiet night because the vibe was sooo chill and they had some good value sharing menus which I’ll definitely be coming back to try.

The ceiling is also super cool with all those mismatched vents? Just fits the vibe 👌

Booked an early dinner at Meat and Greek before going to a show. Been seeing it on TikTok for a few months and wanted to check it out.

When this bad boy got placed in front of us, we looked at one another and we were like, “There’s no way we can eat this amount of food!”

Well, I’ll tell you what… Once you’ve had one bite, you just know that, even if they have you roll you out of there, you’re finishing every last bit.

We’re talking loukaniko, kalamakia, horiatiki, soutzoukakia… and more… and, of course, tons of perfectly seasoned patatoules… Everything was perfect!

I washed it down with an ice cold Mythos while my partner had a visino Louks.

We just had to try their loukoumades before we left.

Great value! Great food! Great service!
