We placed a take away order at this venue as we are travelling back from Sydney and doing a stop over at Thurgoona at a relatives place.
We ordered 1 Green curry chicken ($22.90), 1 beef panang ($22.90), 2 chicken pad Thai ($33.80) and a vegetable fried rice ($15.90) totalling $95.50
We were EXTREMELY disappointed with the food.
When we picked up our order which we waited about half hour for, the waitresses was turning people away saying they were sold out of certain dishes.
My husband and I are both from the hospitality industry and can completely understand and can empathise with them when it comes to running out of things and not having certain dishes available, however, we could not believe that they would serve us 2 completely different dishes to what we paid and asked for.
The pad Thai was absolutely NOT a pad Thai. It had no flavour at all and literally was not a pad Thai dish!
The green curry was so watered down and weak in flavour as was the beef panang.
We would of understood of they had told us they were low on certain things or didn't have certain items on the menu but don't take a person's order, especially when it's almost $100 order and not give them what they asked for!
I called to politely give our feedback, they did apologise and the waitress did seem sincere and offered us a dish on compensation which we declined as we were already tired and exhausted from travelling. As we don't live in the e area we've effectively just wasted $100.
My husband who is a chef had to duck out to the local Woolies to buy curry paste and pad Thai sauce to try to fix the dishes which made our order...
Read moreLong story short: Few days ago me and my girlfriend ordered a vegetable curry they serve with rice and some sweet sticky rice (she had the same food a week ago). I didn’t want to eat there cause I felt the the price is too much for the amount of the food and taste, so I bought some KFC and went to this restaurant to get the food. As my gf was getting late for work and we were both hungry, we thought we can eat our food there. Because I had kfc food with me we didn’t go inside the restaurant, sat outside and waiting for the food. We were the only customer sitting outside. While We were talking the owner or the manager started yelling at us saying “you can’t sit here with food from outside, you cannot have any food here.” I asked him but we’re getting food here and waiting for the food to be prepared. He then kept on yelling, “if you bring food from outside you can’t sit here.” And he said to my gf, “if you paid for food, take the food and leave.” He didn’t say please once and had a very angry look. Well it’s up to you now if you want to have food at a place like this where the owner treats customers like this.
Ps: they gave us wrong food. When we left the shop and went to my girlfriends work place we found out that Instead of vegetable curry they gave us vegetable fried rice and instead of sweet sticky rice , it was just bland sticky rice. I didn’t go back there...
Read moreWe went due to the lack of available restaurants nearby and were welcomed by a staff member. We were seated in the back and immediately saw a dead cockroach against the wall. Despite this, we ordered food, all vegetarian. Shockingly, the only two dishes we liked, out of the many dishes we ordered, was the curry puffs and fried rice. However, the chilli that we ordered with the fried rice seemed frozen and stale, barely edible. The pad thai was extremely runny, soaked with soy sauce and completely covered in vegetables, only further illustrating the lack of noodles. The pad thai looked extremely unappetising, with most of us hesitating to even try it. Definitely would not recommend. The spring rolls lacked fillings, simply just some sort of black-looking cabbage and traces of carrot. Lastly, the staff members were rarely at the front, causing us to venture to the back, where the kitchen was, to order any food. All together, this wasn’t a very...
