We had lunch there yesterday, party of 5. Lemon chicken, honey chicken and beef all with fried rice. Lemon chicken and honey chicken serves were good. Good amounts of meat. Beef with rice was good as well, albeit rather soggy. We had dumplings in chilli oil to share, bleh, nothing to write home about. My order of chicken rice was very disappointing. Chicken was dry and overcooked and rice lacked taste. Definitely not Hainan. More like over boiled chicken breast with a drizzle of sesame oil. Dry to chew and dry swallowing, needed lots of water so I didn't choke on it. My son's order of bbq meats and rice didn't arrive till least 30 mins. I had to go up and ask the server 2x for it. 1st time she apologised and said she'll check. 2nd time she said they have a new bbq chef. What bbq chef? I observed him for 15 mins. The man only had 1 job. Chop the meats. He didn't have to cook or bbq anything as all the meats were cooked, hung and displayed by the glass window. A couple of customers who came in later and ordered the same dish were served before us. Server error? I told the server my son has to leave for work and he had been waiting 30 mins for his meal. She suggested a take out box so if he couldn't finish in time he could take it and go. We eventually agreed and that too took a while. Perhaps they should give his meal for free or pay him for his lost time and docked pay. And the bbq meats in the box were very unimpressive and bland. And lastly the water had a peculiar taste. I had an absolutely incredible dining experience at China Bar Northbridge! I ordered the Soy Sauce Chicken, Crispy Roast Pork, and the China Bar Fried Rice—each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Soy Sauce Chicken was tender and rich, the Crispy Roast Pork had the perfect crunch with juicy meat, and the Fried Rice was packed with just the right balance of ingredients. Truly delicious!

But what made my visit even more memorable was the outstanding service from Yeshi. From the moment I walked in, Yeshi made me feel welcome with a warm, professional attitude. Throughout my meal, Yeshi was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring everything was perfect. I couldn’t finish all the food, but Yeshi thoughtfully provided just the right amount of containers for my leftovers, making the process seamless and hassle-free.
