Flight Club Perth — Restaurant in Perth

Read before you visit!! Look its a great idea and has a lot of potential but there are definitely some teething issues with this new venue. I went with a bunch of friends for a birthday and we had a few issues as outlined below. We were all there on time for a 5:30pm start. At 5:40pm a staff member came around preaching the mask rules and we had to ask for someone to come start our session. They arrived to brief us and get us started at 5:45pm. Happy hour kicked off and we were enjoying $8 Carlton dry pints. Brilliant. Until they ran out and would not supply another beer at happy hour prices for the remaining 20mins. Prices reverted back to $12-15 pints. Disappointing. Our friend who did the right thing and elected to be designated driver ordered for a coffee just after 6:30pm. They returned 10mins later to say they had run out of dairy milk and he had the choice of soy, lactose free or almond milk. Surely a quick trip to the 7/11 for milk was in order but sadly no. We also ordered 3 Crema Cafe slushys. This too was not available because they 'don't usually sell enough' and its a nightmare to clean the slushy machine when there is left overs. A bit shocked we decided to try the other slushy on offer, a watermelon combination of sorts. We were a little shocked when an $18 drink arrived in a small paper cup. Pretty disappointing. And finally, if you are planning and night out here be sure to eat before you arrive. We ordered the $80 meat plate to share between 3 of us. They say it is for 4 ppl but we were pretty hungry. I've never felt so ripped off. It is barely enough for 2 ppl. I wish I got a photo to show you but I was just in disbelief. Complete let down. As I say, the darts side of things were great and I'd highly recommend but the service, pricing and meal sizes were very disappointing. Big room for improvement guys. Came to venue for a nice night out with colleagues and boss to celebrate an achievement. my friend and i had our pre drinks in the uber with us on the way to the venue, as i was not able to find a bin i had left it on the table. After this ordeal, i now understand that there were rules and regulations that i was unaware of prior to entering the venue, and me, excited for a night out with the group, did not think anything of it so much i forgot it was even in my hand when crossing the threshold.

Now, the on site manager for this night the 27 year old male eventually looked back at the security cameras and saw my friend and i entering the premises with the cans in our hand and promptly told us to leave asap. We, including our boss, had tried to reason with him as we hadn't actually drank from them on site and was not brought on purpose, but my friend and i were made to leave. I actually would have been okay if i was politely asked to leave and explained the rules and what we had done wrong if privately spoken about. This manager decided it was a good idea to make a show of it and kick us out publicly in front of our 15+ group of colleagues and boss, publicly humiliating and shaming us. it was an absolutely horrible experience and i ended up crying for over 30 minutes outside the venue as it was so embarrassing for us.

I wish that he had pulled us away privately to speak with us, i wish he wasn't so rude about it, and i wish he understood that it was an accident.

Unfortunately, i have depression and now i get to think about this moment and be sad and cry for days and days to come.

The 27 year old male manager whose name escapes me, may need a crash course in human decency and empathy.
