I usually only judge restaurants on their food, but honestly the service is pretty terrible here for the high price point I would have wanted something more.
Your looking at $200 for a platter, $20 for a cocktail each then $17 for a glass of wine so your bill will be well over $300 if you come here. Our reservation was at 8, and we had a lot of trouble finding parking nearby so we were 20 minutes late which we do take on ourselves!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is extremely small, not much room between tables and the inside is very noisy. It’s right next to this Irish pub so even if you’re sitting outside you can hear everything from people speaking next door. There is an outside terrace where you can sit on higher tables under a camping canopy.
Also to note I could barely understand anything the staff were saying. The menu is ultra confusing, a lot of things that could be clarified and I didn’t understand what to order. I had to look on the reviews on google maps to see what was good. The waiter didn’t really come over and explain the menu either.
Now the kicker, we have arrived late and the table wasn’t even set so they had to set it for us. We sit down on pretty average chairs and tables not very comfortable at all then we change because we were getting rained on. Within 5 minutes of sitting down the waitress comes over to take our order, we still weren’t sure so we asked them to come back. Fast forward from 8:20 to 9pm for 40 minutes they didn’t take our order.
At 9 the waitress finally comes over after I couldn’t flag anyone down. We order some drinks and the platter. Then the manager comes over explaining that the platter would take 30 minutes to make, meaning we would only have 15 minutes to eat before we need to leave because they are closing.
So after your about to pay $300 or probably over that amount, they couldn’t possibly wait 10-15 minutes extra after their closing to let you finish your $200 meal. I told them not to bother
Absolutely ridiculous I will never be coming here again even after the high reviews...
Read moreUp in Perth for a conference, we decided to take a walk and look for a place to have dinner, and just happened to stumble across this little gem. Though a Monday night, they were doing a steady trade. Met at the door very pleasantly and asked if they would have room for 2 walk ins. They said yes but informed us that there was currently an half hour wait. This was fine with us so they organised a table for us. We were quickly seated and water was poured straight away. After about 2 minutes the waitstaff came round to see if we were ready to order. Still looking through the menu, we asked if we could get some drinks first. Before our drinks arrived, another waitperson came and asked if we were ready to order. We started with the El Trio (three little tasters of beef, prawn and pork) as entree until we could decide what to have for mains. Drinks arrived and then we ordered the Gran Sabana, which then gave us a nice selection of the fare available. Love the way the food came out In presentation. The assortment of food was fantastic. Ordered our rump medium rare. One slice perfectly cooked, the other slightly on the rare side, but more than acceptable and we didn’t bother to ask for it to be cooked more. Pork belly was incredible, black pudding good when mix with other items on the plate, and the congri was out of this world. Left rolling out the door. While our experience was lovely, would love to have been asked if we would like more than just 1 drink, and offered dessert at the end of the night - good chance we would have said no to dessert, but you never know how you feel, and now looking at their dessert menu online, would have loved to have tried the Death by Chocolate cocktail. Maybe next time. Overall a good...

Unfortunately, wouldn’t return, don’t know if we picked the wrong day or had the wrong waitress, but our experience at Angel Falls Grill was very disappointing, mainly due to the customer service. When I asked for a recommendation for a small plate to share (since we had already chosen our mains), the waitress only pointed out the large share platters, priced at $120–$200+. When I clarified again that I just wanted a small dish to share, she couldn’t help and stood awkwardly without offering alternatives, so I ended up picking something random.
She also wasn’t able to check if the bar could make a spicy margarita, which felt like a very basic request. Later, we saw another customer try to take a seat, only to be told she couldn’t sit there because the table was “reserved” yet no one ever sat there the entire time we were in the restaurant. And they even packed away the table settings on this particular table later on.
To make things worse, when our order came out wrong (we asked for the grilled flatbread but were given the pancake instead), the waitress did apologise a few times. But did go on to say to us “next time, for your knowledge, the flatbread is white and you should have told us.” That response summed up the whole service: unhelpful and dismissive.
The food itself was nothing special, and paired with the confused, unprofessional service, it made for a very underwhelming experience. Sadly, I would not recommend this restaurant. Wanted to try something different and take a risk, which sadly was a mistake. Also left with a horrible tummy ache 😣 so maybe skip the experience if you care...
