Belgian Beer Cafe offers an authentic taste of Belgium right in the heart of your city, making it a must-visit destination for beer lovers and food enthusiasts alike. With a strong focus on traditional Belgian brews, hearty cuisine, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, this café captures the essence of Belgian culture and craftsmanship, creating a unique experience for guests.

One of the standout features of Belgian Beer Cafe is its impressive selection of Belgian beers. The café prides itself on offering a diverse range of authentic brews, including classic Trappist ales, crisp lagers, rich dubbels, and flavorful saisons. Whether you’re a seasoned beer connoisseur or a casual drinker looking to explore, the knowledgeable staff are always on hand to guide you through their extensive beer list, helping you find the perfect pint to suit your palate. The beers are served in traditional Belgian glassware, which enhances the drinking experience by allowing the aromas and flavors to shine through.

The menu at Belgian Beer Cafe complements its beer selection beautifully. The food offerings lean heavily into classic Belgian fare, with dishes like moules-frites (mussels with fries), hearty stews, and crispy waffles taking center stage. The quality of the food is exceptional, with generous portions and authentic recipes that transport diners straight to the streets of Brussels or Bruges. The fries, often double-fried to perfection, are a particular highlight and a perfect pairing with any beer from the menu.

Ambiance plays a crucial role in the Belgian Beer Cafe experience. The décor evokes the charm of a traditional Belgian tavern, featuring wooden accents, warm lighting, and an inviting layout that encourages socializing and relaxation. Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying a casual date, or winding down after work, the atmosphere is cozy yet lively, making it an ideal spot to savor great beer and food.

Customer service at Belgian Beer Cafe is consistently praised for being friendly and attentive. The staff’s passion for Belgian beer and culture shines through in their recommendations and the care they take to ensure every guest has an enjoyable experience. This personal touch adds to the overall warmth and welcoming vibe of the café.

In addition to the regular menu, Belgian Beer Cafe often hosts special events such as beer tastings, Belgian-themed nights, and live music, further enhancing its appeal and community feel. These events offer a fantastic opportunity for patrons to deepen their appreciation of Belgian brewing traditions and enjoy a vibrant social atmosphere.

In summary, Belgian Beer Cafe offers an authentic slice of Belgium with its outstanding beer selection, delicious traditional dishes, and inviting ambiance. It’s a perfect destination for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Belgian beer in a warm and welcoming setting. Whether you’re new to Belgian beer or a longtime fan, this café promises a memorable experience that celebrates the rich heritage and...

My recent experiences at this place have been inconsistent, and it's definitely not what it used to be. In the pre-pandemic days, it was always one of my go-to places in Perth. However, since then, a lot has changed, particularly when it comes to the food quality. I visited on a quiet Monday evening with only few other guests in the placd. I ordered the chili calamari and mussels in white wine sauce. Both dishes were OK, although the calamari was a bit soft (not crispy as expected). Disappointingly, when I decided to have dessert after finishing my meal around 8 pm, I was informed that the kitchen had just closed. I decided to give the place another go and returned on Thursday night, which happened to be much busier like most places in Perth. This time, I ordered the mussels in tomato sauce along with their Belgium-style fries. The food was served while I was at the bar to get another beer. Which wouldn't have taken more then 5 minutes at the most. Unfortunately, the chips were a major letdown. They were nowhere near the quality of the delicious Belgium-style fries they used to serve. Instead, they resembled average pub chips, slightly salty with numerous small and broken pieces, and about a third of them were overly brown. I only ate a few, and the rest remained untouched. Now, about the mussels. Despite ordering them with tomato sauce, I received the white wine sauce again. Moreover, unlike the steaming hot mussels I had on Monday, this time they were almost cold. The bread accompanying the mussels was so hard and brown that it seemed to have been toasted twice. Interestingly, the mussels served to the table next to mine and later to a table opposite me were piping hot, with steam still rising from them for quite some time. This suggests that the temperature of my mussels couldn't be attributed to the few minutes I spent at the bar getting a second beer. It's purely speculative, but to me it seems likely that my order, with its incorrect sauce and over-toasted bread, had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. However, I managed to finish the evening with a decent waffle and ice cream for dessert.

Overall, I would rate my experience on Thursday night a 2 out of 5, and considering the entire week, I would give it a 3 out of 5. I won't be returning for a while, especially not for food, as there are plenty of other...

We arrived at 5:30pm…

We ordered drinks & appetisers Which arrived fairly quickly.

We ordered mains at 7pm and after three follow-ups we finally received our meals after 8 pm!

After our third inquiry where we said this just wasn’t acceptable they said they would send the manager over. He did come to the table, addressed a table as a whole, apologised I think, saying he would send something over and left again… He was at our table for several seconds - no longer!

There was no real apology and his level of attention was unacceptable.

After we had finished our mains they sent over waffles as dessert.

Our tables were never cleared - not from the moment we sat down!

We eventually piled our dirty plates onto an adjacent empty table otherwise we couldn’t of fitted the waffles on the table, And even when they brought those they made no attempt to clear anything off the table!

On our three visits to the front counter to enquire after our meal which had taken more than an hour there were two staff members standing talking, one making an attempt polish cutlery - they were there, standing talking, each and every time we went to the counter!

We only saw one young girl on the floor delivering meals… and she never took anything off the tables when she delivered plates.

This is hospitality 101… Never leave a table empty-handed and never walk past a table without picking up dirty plates/glasses.

They may do you say excuse of staffing issues… This is a training issue!

Perth hospitality has a lot to learn!!

BTW we used the app to order most meals & drinks and at the payment section they ask for a tip…

A tip!!?? How do you tip for zero service!

PS: The meals were average at best… The restaurant was not busy; there were staff standing around chatting so there was staff there - just not doing anything.

There is simply no excuse for this but all good service comes from the top and the manager didn’t seem to have any interest in the fact that we were being treated so poorly so that surely filters on down to the staff.

Such a great location… diners...

A few guys from work went to Belgian Beer Cafe for drinks and a meal A mixture of choices I have two entrees as did one of my colleagues Belgian meat balls and calamari Be both were amazed at the calamari as it had no stringiness it was cooked to perfection not rubbery and tough I would rate the calamari at a five (5) stars The meatballs were nice and tasty and tender, the sauce was yummy too four (4) stars Two of my colleagues had the scotch fillet steak both gave a 3.5 stars The meat was cooked to perfection and was tender however both commented the steak needed more grill flavour and salt during cooking, as both said the same thing it is a notable issue hence the rating One colleague had the lamb shank jaffle He is a chef and rated this at five (5) stars Overall good and quick service The atmosphere was great music not too loud and plenty of patrons to add to the atmosphere

Took the family here to try it out as it was recommended to me. It was alright.. The place was packed and very loud! The staff were friendly but I'd much rather have ordered through an actual person than having to download a QR scanner just to order on my phone? My partner said his chicken parmi wasn't the greatest, not something he would he ever order again, and I got the mussels and garlic bread, the cheesy garlic bread was great and the mussels were delicious! BUT by the time I got home an hour later, I've been stuck in the bathroom for 4 hours..... It was the only thing I've eaten in over 24 hours so I know it wasn't anything else. The drinks were great they definitely focus more on the bar side. Wouldn't go here again but thanks for the experience.
