My recent experiences at this place have been inconsistent, and it's definitely not what it used to be. In the pre-pandemic days, it was always one of my go-to places in Perth. However, since then, a lot has changed, particularly when it comes to the food quality. I visited on a quiet Monday evening with only few other guests in the placd. I ordered the chili calamari and mussels in white wine sauce. Both dishes were OK, although the calamari was a bit soft (not crispy as expected). Disappointingly, when I decided to have dessert after finishing my meal around 8 pm, I was informed that the kitchen had just closed. I decided to give the place another go and returned on Thursday night, which happened to be much busier like most places in Perth. This time, I ordered the mussels in tomato sauce along with their Belgium-style fries. The food was served while I was at the bar to get another beer. Which wouldn't have taken more then 5 minutes at the most. Unfortunately, the chips were a major letdown. They were nowhere near the quality of the delicious Belgium-style fries they used to serve. Instead, they resembled average pub chips, slightly salty with numerous small and broken pieces, and about a third of them were overly brown. I only ate a few, and the rest remained untouched. Now, about the mussels. Despite ordering them with tomato sauce, I received the white wine sauce again. Moreover, unlike the steaming hot mussels I had on Monday, this time they were almost cold. The bread accompanying the mussels was so hard and brown that it seemed to have been toasted twice. Interestingly, the mussels served to the table next to mine and later to a table opposite me were piping hot, with steam still rising from them for quite some time. This suggests that the temperature of my mussels couldn't be attributed to the few minutes I spent at the bar getting a second beer. It's purely speculative, but to me it seems likely that my order, with its incorrect sauce and over-toasted bread, had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. However, I managed to finish the evening with a decent waffle and ice cream for dessert. Overall, I would rate my experience on Thursday night a 2 out of 5, and considering the entire week, I would give it a 3 out of 5. I won't be returning for a while, especially not for food, as there are plenty of other options available.

A few guys from work went to Belgian Beer Cafe for drinks and a meal A mixture of choices I have two entrees as did one of my colleagues Belgian meat balls and calamari Be both were amazed at the calamari as it had no stringiness it was cooked to perfection not rubbery and tough I would rate the calamari at a five (5) stars The meatballs were nice and tasty and tender, the sauce was yummy too four (4) stars Two of my colleagues had the scotch fillet steak both gave a 3.5 stars The meat was cooked to perfection and was tender however both commented the steak needed more grill flavour and salt during cooking, as both said the same thing it is a notable issue hence the rating One colleague had the lamb shank jaffle He is a chef and rated this at five (5) stars Overall good and quick service The atmosphere was great music not too loud and plenty of patrons to add to the atmosphere

Took the family here to try it out as it was recommended to me. It was alright.. The place was packed and very loud! The staff were friendly but I'd much rather have ordered through an actual person than having to download a QR scanner just to order on my phone? My partner said his chicken parmi wasn't the greatest, not something he would he ever order again, and I got the mussels and garlic bread, the cheesy garlic bread was great and the mussels were delicious! BUT by the time I got home an hour later, I've been stuck in the bathroom for 4 hours..... It was the only thing I've eaten in over 24 hours so I know it wasn't anything else. The drinks were great they definitely focus more on the bar side. Wouldn't go here again but thanks for the experience.

Amazing place! We stayed in the Nightcap Belgian Beer Cafe and had a few dinners at Belgian beer cafe with a discount plus a few free drinks. First dinner we ordered a pork knuckle and it was a blast. Juicy inside with a crispy skin, came with veggies. I should worn you it’s huge! Easily can feed 3+ adults. We couldn’t finish and asked for a take away box. It’s gone next morning as an amazing cold cuts on sandwiches. Next night we had beef burgers, and they were awesome. For kids we took Belgian waffles and they were super delicious. Not greasy, not sweet, but crispy outside and tender inside with a beautiful butter cream caramel sauce, ice cream and cookie. I would highly recommend this place for its atmosphere and delicious food and beer.

This is a local hangout after dance training at Kings St Art Centre for our dance team as it’s conveniently located on the corner of Murray St, a few minutes walk from KSAC and CPP free parking on weekends and after 6pm weekdays. Two of the team were having the popular cherry beer on tap, so I had a large one too $17 - I think I like beer now! Highly recommended 😉 Meals are reasonably priced and we bought the houmous dip plate $14, squid $16, chips $13 & garlic bread $14. Service was friendly & they brought our drinks out to us from the bar once ordered. Only panic moment was in the toilet when I couldn’t access the locked toilet paper! - see video on how to open the toilet compartment 😅. #belgianbeercafe

Great place to stay if your attending a show at Perth Arena or just visiting Perth in general . Very central to all of perths sites and transport. Great communication to get the code for the entrance to the hotel. Once in you have to follow the stairs to the foyer where you can enjoy a welcome drink while you use the phone to contact staff to check in. You get a choice of breakfast packs . We were shown to our room which was very comfortable And also given another complimentary drink voucher to use in the bar down stairs great choice of food and drinks . You get a bit of noise from the bar but still have a good night sleep. Would stay again no problem.
