Tried this place for the 1st time and ordered the Phosoop set with Beef Pho + Spring Roll + Viet Iced White Coffee $22. While the flavour of the broth isn’t the best we’ve had out of all the Vietnamese restaurants we’ve been to around Perth, it certainly isn’t bad either, I’d say just above average. The price for the set is quite reasonable given the location in Perth CBD. The spring roll is very tasty and the Vietnamese iced white coffee is strong and made well, although could top up the cup instead of leaving a gap. The service during our visit was outstanding. We were told to pick up the order from the counter when the buzzer sets off but the ladies ended up bringing them to our table. Both ladies (which I believe are the owners/family) are so friendly. The dining and self-service area are well maintained. There is a lovely vibe inside the dining area. Filtered water tap available by the ordering counter for self service. Overall, definitely a place we’d return when we are around the area and recommend trying if you’ve...
Read moreI had the fish noodle soup at Phovela, and honestly, it was incredible from start to finish! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — not too salty, not too oily — just the right depth of flavor that makes you want to finish every drop. The fish was fresh, tender, and beautifully cooked, and all the ingredients tasted really clean and high-quality.
The presentation was lovely, and you can tell they put care into every bowl they serve. Portion size was generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. The staff were so kind and attentive, always smiling and making sure customers felt welcome. I also loved the cozy, modern atmosphere — it’s clean, comfortable, and feels like a perfect place to enjoy authentic Vietnamese comfort food.
As someone who’s tried many Vietnamese restaurants in Perth, I can honestly say this is one of the best. Everything — the food, service, and vibe — was absolutely spot-on. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing my friends...
Read moreI tried a Banh Mi for lunch and Bun Cha Ha Noi for dinner.
The Banh Mi was so so. The roast pork was partially crispy, and the meat was a bit bland, and the extra meat option only provided for a little bit more meat compared to other places, which was disappointing. The pickled vegetables added on top were too sweet. The overall Banh Mi was ok, but there's much better elsewhere.
The Bun Cha Ha Noi in comparison was quite good. The pork belly was tender and had a good ratio of juicy fat, and the mince was OK, but I preferred the belly. The fish sauce based stock the meat was in was good but also a bit too sweet. The rice noodles portion was a bit too generous (good if you like lots of rice noodles), and I could have done with a bit more lettuce instead.
Service isn't the fastest here. You might have to wait a bit to get your food. They provide you a buzzer so you can sit down...
