Worst Dining Experience - Extremely Rude and Unprofessional - Avoid at All Costs
I recently visited this restaurant and it was by far the rudest and most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The owner’s behavior was shockingly disrespectful, showing zero regard for customer service or basic courtesy. The owner/ manager was shockingly rude and unprofessional throughout our visit. What made it even worse was his behavior toward my 2 years old child. Instead of addressing any concern politely, out of nowhere the owner rudely came over and grabbed cutlery from my baby’s hands. This was not only unnecessary but outright inappropriate and disrespectful.
The restaurant is absolutely not kid-friendly, contrary to what one would expect from a family-oriented establishment. The service was chaotic, the staff untrained, and there was no effort to make guests feel welcome. The overall atmosphere was tense and unpleasant.
The staff seemed poorly trained, inattentive, and disorganized. Simple requests were met with hostility, and the overall atmosphere felt incredibly unwelcoming. It’s astonishing how such an establishment operates with such a dismissive attitude toward its patrons.
The food quality didn’t make up for the terrible service either, it was below average, overpriced, smallest potions and served with an air of indifference.
I would strongly discourage anyone from wasting their time and money here. If you value good service and a pleasant dining experience, look elsewhere.
Update after the ' owners' reply:
Hey Vick, I know you. First you replied to the review saying ' thank you come again' and then ended up with this dramatic reply? Try looking at your property's CCTV again and come back "hardworking" people. Nice try... I can imagine how pathetic your life is. 🥴
PS: I have already complained to the consumer affairs and other relevant authorities about the incident which took place particularly towards my 2 Year-old child, and I hope they have taken it very seriously.
Hey Vick the 'owner', keep your CCTV footages handy on the day, as evidences for your following statements, "my baby was scratching your tables with the cutlery, while I watched and made no attempt to control my child. also next the manager/you asked me to please be respectful for other people's property, and I did nothing. Also we finished every speck of rice, and we enjoyed the food" (mate, we didn't even touched your little vessel which contained days old rice) 😂
Anyways, I would love to see you in courts when its the right time. And hey, seeing all other customer's reviews and how you deal with them, I am quite confident that you will soon made a difficult decision to close your restaurant before long. 🥱🤞 oh, don't change your reply agin....
Read moreFrom the moment I entered, the service at Nine Marys stood out. The waitress welcomed me warmly and efficiently guided me through the menu, highlighting options that would pair well with my choice of a dry white wine. The wine selection was excellent and complemented the meal beautifully.
The atmosphere was lively, with a mix of couples and groups, though I happened to be dining solo. I ordered the lamb curry with a mild spice level, accompanied by jasmine basmati rice garnished with fried onions. The presentation was lovely, with chunky, tender lamb pieces in a well-balanced blend of spices. It’s a dish that leaves a memorable impression, both in flavor and portion size.
For starters, I went with the prawn tandoori. The prawns were slightly rubbery and could benefit from a touch more tenderness, but the flavors were on point and the tandoori coating had the right char. Presentation here, too, was impeccable, although I’d recommend a minor improvement: Indian cuisine is best enjoyed with the hands for the full sensory experience, so offering a warm towel or a small bowl of lemon water before and after dining would be a nice touch.
The ambiance is clean and inviting, although the bathrooms, located outside the restaurant, feel a bit inconvenient. Still, they were well-maintained, which is always appreciated.
As for pricing, the curries felt a bit on the higher end, especially when compared to similar meals at nearby Malaysian restaurants, which cost significantly less. Adjusting the prices slightly could help broaden the restaurant’s appeal without compromising its premium feel.

Read moreMy husband and I love Indian food and on a whim (I haven't looked at Groupon for years) I booked a $45 voucher touted as $136 value. Hah! The voucher was to have included entrees (chicken tikka and veg samosa which on the menu came with 4 pieces each). We were given ONE piece of each to SHARE. We ordered an additional chicken tikka which, surprise surprise, came with 4 pieces. The 2 mains we chose - Butter Chicken and a Potato Curry arrived in teensy little bowls with probably 4 pieces of chicken in one. We were given ONE small bowl of rice to share, and one piece of naan which was average at best, The 'house wine' was meh - I asked what kind of wine it was and the manager - who barely cracked a smile the whole time - wasn't very convincing when he said he thought it was a cab merlot or a sav blanc. When we added up the cost of the dishes we received from the menu, it was approximately $88 AT BEST if you include the 2 glasses of crap sav blanc. Also, were were not offered any water for the table, I had to ask for it. Sure, this sounds like a great deal, but a) the portions were pathetically small, and b)where on earth was the extra $50+ of value were supposedly getting from this '67% off' deal? The main dishes and the chicken tikka were tasty, nice flavours. But we did NOT leave with a good taste in our mouths after the FALSE ADVERTISING - we would have preferred to spend $100 at one of our local restaurants who serve good wine and smile at...
