Hidden Italian Gem in North Sydney! If you’re after cozy vibes, elegant interiors, and seriously good food—this spot is a must-visit. Here’s what we tried and loved: Starters: Mushroom Arancini – $12 Crispy outside, cheesy inside, served on truffle sauce. So good! Burrata Caprese – $22 With nectarine, heirloom tomato & pine nuts. Fresh, creamy and perfect with their homemade focaccia. Mains: Paccheri – $32 Lamb ragu, cavolo nero, ricotta salata. Rich and comforting. Pasta alla Vodka – $28 Creamy pink sauce with a hint of chilli. Bold and satisfying. Porcini Risotto – $30 Full of flavour with mushrooms and parmesan. So comforting. Lasagna (Classic) – $32 Pork & beef bolognese, béchamel, mozzarella, parmesan. Super creamy and my top pick! Dessert: Tiramisu – $15 Soft, creamy, and with the perfect crunch. One of the best I’ve had! Honestly, every dish hit the mark. Save this place for your next brunch or lunch catch-up! 📍Cecilia 65 Berry St, North Sydney NSW 2060, Australia #northsydneyfood #sydneybrunch #italianfoodlover #pastalovers #hiddenfoodgems #SydneyEats #HiddenGem #FoodieAdventures #SydneyRestaurants #PastaLover #italianbar #italianfood #sydneyitalian #sydneyfoodblogger #retrobar #sydneyinfluencer #sydneyinfluencers #sydneycontentcreator #sydneylife #sydneybar #brunchinsydney #foccacia #italianpasta #sydneylifestyle #sydneyfashionblogger #lifestyleblog #steak #tiramisù #homemadepasta

I’m really glad my boyfriend booked Cecilia for his birthday! it turned out to be such a great find. The place is cozy and welcoming, and it’s only about 5 minutes from the Victoria Cross metro (Denison exit), which made it super easy to get to. The service was one of the highlights for me. Our waitress was so sweet and genuinely lovely, the kind of vibe that makes a meal feel more special. I loved the burrata, and the complimentary bread and spread were a nice touch (honestly, kind of addictive). The pasta was cooked perfectly, really al dente. I was expecting actual salmon pieces in the salmon spaghetti, so that threw me off a bit, but I would still want come back to try more dishes. such a cozy little spot that we'll definitely be recommending!

A hidden gem in North Sydney! Cecilia is the kind of restaurant you stumble upon once and keep coming back to. The atmosphere is warm and elegant, with a modern Italian charm that feels both welcoming and refined. The menu is thoughtfully curated—fresh pasta made in-house, generous antipasti, and beautifully plated mains that balance creativity with tradition. I especially recommend the truffle pasta and the lamb ragu—absolutely unforgettable. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the wine list pairs perfectly with every dish. Whether you’re in for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner, Cecilia delivers a consistently exceptional experience. Highly recommended!

Not to be dramatic but If I could bottle this night and sip it forever, I would. From the moment we walked in, the warm lighting, the soft hum of jazz, and the easy smiles of the staff wrapped around us like a hug from an old friend. This wasn’t just a restaurant. It was a teleportation device straight to the Mediterranean.

The burrata came first, creamy as a dream, hiding a cheeky little tahini surprise inside, an unexpected yet perfect marriage of flavours. Then came the saffron salmon pasta, a combination I never could have conceived possible, golden, fragrant, and impossibly harmonious, with saffron from Iran weaving its magic through delicate, perfectly cooked salmon. The brisket pasta followed, so deeply meaty and rich it felt almost alive but in the best possible way, every bite brimming with slow-cooked depth. Each dish was a masterclass in innovative flavours while still staying true to its Italian soul.

The dry-aged beef was a king’s feast. The veal was so tender it practically apologised for existing before melting away, and the pickled mushrooms were zesty, earthy little fireworks. Then came the moment: the owner, with a grin, hand-feeding us like royalty at a private feast. I have never felt more spoiled in my life.

And just when I thought it could not get better, a lychee martini appeared, tasting exactly like Turkish delight. Sweet, floral, and just a little bit sinful.

The service was beyond friendly. It was soulful. Genuine warmth, playful banter, no pretence, just pure joy in feeding people well. This was hands down the best dining experience I have ever had, and the only Italian restaurant I will be going to from now on. Unexpected, Authentic, passionate, and...

There are restaurants one visits occasionally, and then there are places that become part of your daily rhythm — places that draw you in not only for their food, but for the experience they create. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere wraps around you with warmth — soft lighting, gentle music, and a cozy charm that immediately makes you feel at ease. It’s a space that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment, whether you’re here for a quick meal or a meaningful dining.

The food is consistently excellent, with fresh pasta that stands out as a highlight. You can taste the difference in every bite — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with passion and care. Each dish feels thoughtfully prepared, celebrating authentic Italian tradition while keeping everything fresh and inviting.

What makes the experience truly special, however, is the people. Simone leads with quiet elegance and genuine dedication, setting the tone for a team that embodies warmth, professionalism, and passion. Their hospitality is exceptional — attentive without being intrusive, kind without being rehearsed, and always sincere. There is a rare harmony between the kitchen and the floor, where every detail feels intentional and every gesture feels heartfelt.

It’s a joy to witness a team so deeply proud of their craft and so united in creating memorable experiences for their guests. Their pride, care, and authenticity are what transform each visit into something more than a meal, it becomes a celebration of taste, comfort, and connection. Grazie to the wonderful team for always making me...
