Hi I had taken some interstate friends for dinner (8 in total) - the pizza and pasta night special. We couldn't choose the food you get what the chef puts out and each round is meant to be a different type of pasta and pizza dish.
First round we were served with 2 pizzas (1) Pizza with aubergine & a hint of sausage & (2) Pizza with a hint of ham and zucchini + spaghetti Bolognese and penne with pesto.
Second round we were served exactly the same dishes. when I enquired about the dishes, the male waiter just shrugged his shoulders and left the meal on the table with any further explanation.
One of the guest arrived late due to traffic (45 mins later) at this stage there was 3 slices of pizza left and some spaghetti Bolognese - dry (hardly any sauce to start of with+ cold left. so we asked for a fresh plate of pasta and another pizza to which we were told we couldn't until we had finished what's on the table. I thought this was rude of them, had she sat at another table I'm sure they would have given her a fresh serving.
Anyway eventually another waiter came in on the conversation and said we can have a pasta - 23 mins later we were still waiting for a plate of pasta. My friend paid for a fork full of cold pasta and half a slice of cold pizza. We left this place, went up the road for dessert/coffee and a decent meal for my friend.
This would have to be one of the worst places I have been. While I'm up to try a variety of dishes the pizzas were mainly vegetarian, did not cater for the more familiar toppings and pasta dishes to dry.
I made enquiries as to how the deal works and based on the feedback thought this would be a great place to take out my friends. Service was very poor standard and the food was nothing special. It was an embarrassing night for...
Β Β Β Read moreIt was a Thursday like most others, me and la girlfriend wanted to go and have dinner. Stuck with where to go, we searched Google to find you, Cucina 105, to be the Italian restaurant of choice. Stuck with decision paralysis and the overwhelming hunger, we immediately went with you, Cucina 105.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm, radiant smile of a very patience and welcoming waiter. Upon sitting down, we were immediately entertain with the local gossips between "who is this chick... oh she done this..." let's just say we were thoroughly entertained even in a room of no one else.
We decided on a set menu with excellent choices, the entrees was well balanced and got us wanting more. The main left us so full and delighted, almost like the feeling of visiting your grandparents when they filled you to the brim with food. Dessert were not the strongest part of the sum but it was perfect to close our meal out.
In the end, we left the restaurant happy, full, delighted and wanting to recommend everyone that we know to come and try this amazing...
Β Β Β Read moreThe service was very friendly, however our main waiter interacted with us a little too much, it was a little bit interruptive but never unpleasant. The mushroom risotto was delicious, as were the desserts and coffee. The gnocchi was OK.., but given that gnocchi is my favourite food, I am very fussy and somewhat critical when it comes to gnocchi. The portions were generous and the manager/owner(?) seems like a champion based on my brief interaction with him, and his interaction which I observed with his staff. Their homemade limoncello is very good which they actually have us free of charge. The main thing which took away from our experience is that the ambience is quite noisy (I think it's just the acoustics of the place), so it was hard to converse with others at the table, and also the bathrooms, although clean, looked a bit run down, hand towels had run out, and the hand washing area needs more lighting. If I could I would rate three and half stars, but Google only lets me choose...
