I recently visited So Long Korean Restaurant in Sydney CBD and tried their tofu soup set, which came with a variety of side dishes and a bowl of steamed rice. The presentation was inviting, with the tofu soup served bubbling hot in a traditional stone pot. The soup was rich and flavorful, featuring soft tofu, enoki mushrooms, scallions, and a hint of spice from the sliced chili on top. However, the soup was a little too salty for my preference, which slightly overpowered the delicate flavors of the tofu and broth. Balancing the saltiness could elevate the dish and make it more enjoyable. The side dishes were a pleasant addition, offering a good variety of textures and flavors, with the kimchi standing out for its freshness and bold seasoning. The overall dining experience was satisfying, with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. With minor adjustments to the seasoning, So Long Korean Restaurant could offer an even more authentic and enjoyable Korean dining experience.

MisleadingšŸ˜•You don’t get the discount when you get the set menu even when you paid with cash. Plus on google the discount offer says 10% off but at the counter it says 5% off - We went on Sunday 13th Sep within the promotion period and spent over 50 dollars. I personally felt just not fair as I mentioned to the lady at the cashier regarding to the discount but she said to us with set menu there are no discount and no matter you pay with cash or not. Again thanks for the owner to get back to my review to clarify this. Food are good hence I edited my review and gave the rating from 3 to 4 for this. Just for whoever wants to go there, please be specific in regards to the offer. Happy dining!

The worst kimchi pancake and clam soup I have ever had in Sydney. The kimchi pancake is nothing but a super thick batter that feels super greasy, oily and dough-y. Plus a ridiculously small amount of kimchi was found in this wall thick batter. Clam soup has a very weird texture of corn slurry (or whatever thickener they use) and TEN KILOGRAMS of pepper. Yep I’m not exaggerated. They put enough pepper to make you feel as SPICY as EATING A WHOLE CHILLI (da heck). From my photo you can clearly see the pepper although the bowl was half way finished. Half of everything was thrown away, together with $40 and 30 minutes wait. What a waste of time and money.

Food was nothing to complain. However, customer service that wait staffs showed us was terrible.

We visited around 5:30pm, ground floor was 2/3 full and above floor was empty. A waitress indicate us to sit at table on ground floor. We thought since busy time is coming, they will open above floor soon. So asked the waitress if we could go upstairs. She pointed finger to table that she showed us and said 'Sit here!' Wow... I though I were a dog...

2.After around 1.5 hour later after we sat there, suddenly a waiter came to us and said 'Because there is a waiting and we have time limit, you have to leave in 10 minute'. Excuse me?? We ordered our sencond round of food just 15-20 minutes ago... There NOT a notice of time limit when we entered the store, odering, and not even when we ordered second food. We explained this and he went back to check again and never came back again

I noticed that there was just one team waiting and they managed to sit after 5-10minutes.

their management is really no answer... i wonder whether they have a manager at all. No staff training. No customer care service. No house rule.

The waitress who tell us 'sit here' doesn't give any look when we raise hand and say 'excuse me' loud enough. Not once but 2 times, she just pass through infront of us, just like she didn't hear didn't see anything. What a attitude!! She should not work as...

Ordered beef soup and asking for extra tofu, but the girl staff came and ask if we're sure?. Coz the soup has already contained tofu. So, we agreed to cancel the extra tofu. Once it comes, there was not even a piece of tofu in it. Told the staff, but she just said sorry.

When we about to pay, the guy staff suddenly came and said gonna give discount. But it was just deducted $2 ONLY!! HOW FUNNYY.. And that's because they forgot to deduct the xtra tofu fees from the biLL. Not because they sorry about the service. Didn't even offering if we like to change to the new soup or try to give us any other additional/substitute. Just forcing us to accept their mistakes by their "sorry" words. Shame of your restaurant!

Dirty clotes even hanging on the banister. Feeling disgusted when you are a customer and need to walk through the stairs but have to see those. We couldn't even really holding on the handle coz of those clothes.

Food tastes also not too special. Just ordinary korean food and quite pricey for the normal taste. Terrible experience! NOT...

Had a really lovely meal here tonight! Ordered the half portion of the boneless spicy volcano KFC, seafood pancake, and the steamed egg. They gave us some banchan too which i appreciated.

Boneless chicken pieces were thigh pieces, and most importantly appeared to be double fried- they remained crispy despite being smothered in sauce and the meat was juicy. The spicy sauce was a good amount of spice and was actually spicy, and I liked that it was not too sweet. It came with a salad and chips which I could have honestly done without.

Seafood pancake had a generous amount of squid and little prawns in there. Edges were crispy and it was evenly cooked. Had an accompanying sauce, which was pretty standard.

The steamed egg was really yummy and silky throughout, cooked perfectly. Very custardy and smooth, well seasoned with some sesame oil.

Ordered via the QR code placed on the table and was simple to navigate. The food came out quickly and it’s a pretty no fuss place with good food. Definitely recommend, will come back to try...
