The Good: Let’s start with the positives. Hurricane's Bar & Grill Cronulla has some good things going for it. It’s definitely all about the grill—the food is delish and plentiful. The scallops were to die for (even if a little on the pricey side for just four), but with truffle cream, avruga caviar, vincotto, and furikake, they were a luxurious bite. The calamari was fresh, the burgers super filling, and the steak? Perfect. Paired with creamy mash, sweet potato fries, and a crisp green salad, it was tender and beautifully presented. The venue itself is gorgeous, right across from the always-buzzing Cronulla Beach, and the service was spot-on from start to finish. The Room for Improvement: Now, onto the parts that need a little TLC. While the food and presentation were impeccable, the prices were definitely on the higher side—more than you'd expect from most bar and grill spots. The beachfront location probably plays a part in that, but worth noting. Also, parking was an absolute mission. Not the restaurant’s fault, of course, but trying to find a spot near Cronulla Beach on a sunny Sunday? Let’s just say it’s not for the faint-hearted or short-tempered. Would I Return? Sure, but with a plan—maybe on a quieter day, and definitely not when I’m tight on time or patience for parking. Living on the other side of Sydney, it’s a bit of a trek, but the food and experience are hard to beat. The Verdict: In conclusion, Hurricane's Bar & Grill Cronulla serves up incredible food in a beautiful spot with fantastic service. It’s not cheap, and parking is a beast, but if you’re in the area—or up for a little luxury by the beach—it’s absolutely worth a visit. Just bring your appetite and maybe your parking fairy.

Open now and so excited!! Food was awesome, right up there with what I was expecting from Hurricanes … the service was amazing as well, friendly & with a smile all the time. The restaurant looks amazing!!! I was a big fan of Darling Harbour Hurricanes but it closed due to renovations. Great having this one on my door step and going to be a great outdoor area for the summer. Recommend the Coconut & Chilli margarita … soooo good and the creme brûlée was huge & delicious too 🥰 Wishing you all the best, keep up the awesome work!!!!

Originally I started at Bondi when I discovered Hurricanes, over the years it’s always been a favourite, all around town and even interstate. Cronulla takes me back to the original, atmosphere and service. The pork ribs have to be on order, I can’t fault them. Well done to get Hurricanes back to its original status. PS the potatoes are an amazing side and better than any other hurricanes side even the sweet potato which I always order for the kids.

Hurricanes in Cronulla offers a truly laid-back yet unforgettable dining experience that perfectly captures the essence of beachside dining. With its breezy, coastal atmosphere and relaxed vibe, this iconic restaurant feels like the ultimate retreat after a long day in the sun. The beach ambience here sets the tone for a casual, feel-good meal with stunning ocean views, creating the perfect backdrop for indulging in some of the best BBQ fare in Sydney.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, welcoming environment that blends rustic charm with modern touches. The relaxed, beachy decor makes you feel instantly at ease—whether you’re dining with friends, family, or on a casual date. The spacious, open-plan layout offers plenty of room to kick back and enjoy your meal, while the nearby surf and sand offer a sense of serenity and calm. Whether you’re seated indoors or on the outdoor deck, the gentle sea breeze and laid-back atmosphere make every meal feel like a mini holiday.

Now, let’s talk about the food, because that’s what really makes Hurricanes a standout. Known for its mouth-watering steaks, burgers, and especially its famous BBQ ribs, Hurricanes delivers a smoky, flavour-packed experience that will have you coming back for more. The burgers are juicy and generously sized, stacked high with perfectly seasoned beef, fresh toppings, and rich sauces that bring each bite to life. Whether you’re a classic cheeseburger fan or prefer something a little more adventurous, every burger here is crafted with care and bursts with flavour.

But the real star of the show at Hurricanes is undoubtedly the ribs. Gloriously tender and fall-off-the-bone juicy, the ribs are infused with that signature smoky BBQ flavour that will leave you craving more. The slow-cooked meats are glazed with a rich, sweet, and tangy sauce that perfectly complements the smokiness, making every bite an explosion of taste. The portions are generous, ensuring you get your fill of these indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth ribs. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, the ribs at Hurricanes are simply a must-try.

In addition to the burgers and ribs, the steaks are also a highlight of the menu. Cooked to perfection, each steak is tender and juicy, with a smoky crust that adds a delightful depth of flavour. Whether you prefer your steak rare, medium, or well-done, the chefs at Hurricanes ensure it’s grilled to your exact preference, accompanied by hearty sides like crispy fries, fresh salads, and creamy mash that complement the rich flavours of the meat.

What really sets Hurricanes apart is the consistency and quality of its BBQ. The smoky flavours from the grill permeate each dish, and you can taste the passion and expertise that goes into every meal. The balance of spices, the tenderness of the meat, and the intoxicating smoky aroma all come together in a perfect symphony of flavour. Whether you’re a fan of classic BBQ fare or looking to explore something new, Hurricanes never disappoints.

The relaxed beachside location and exceptional food make Hurricanes the perfect spot to enjoy a chilled meal with loved ones or friends. The combination of great food, stunning surroundings, and friendly service ensures that your time here is nothing short of spectacular. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, enjoy a cold drink, and savor the smoky, tender BBQ that truly takes your dining experience to the next level.

If you’re in the mood for a dining experience that’s both relaxed and indulgent, look no further than Hurricanes in Cronulla. With its unbeatable beach vibe, incredible burgers, steaks, and ribs, and the unforgettable smoky BBQ flavours, it’s a place that will continue to be a favourite for both locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re enjoying a casual meal with friends or celebrating a special occasion, Hurricanes offers the perfect setting and the perfect food for...

Negative experience all around and I will explain why.

I booked for a party of 10 for my son 15th and nephews 11th birthday. It was our first outing as a family since tragedy struck us only a month ago.

We have been to the Bondi and Brighton hurricanes and have had positive experiences , what we love about hurricanes in Bondi and Brighton is its family orientated atmosphere so bringing our kids to this environment what we thought would be much the same.

How wrong were we as soon as we walked in the atmosphere and ambience was off , it felt like a try hard version of a posh restaurant hardly what the hurricane mantra stands for .

We made the booking for 5 or 515 I arrived on time the other guests were stuck being train and traffic delays caused by the sharks game on at the same time.

At approx 520pm I was approached by a waitress who decided this was a good time to remind me that they have another booking for 7pm and we needed to leave by then. For me this reminder should have happened after we ordered our meals not before, it puts a negative focus on our experience feeling rushed .

I was immediately taken back , in my professional life I manage 420 employees all dealing with customer service . This did not showcase any values of the hurricanes brand or the brand they claim to be in this fancy overpriced venue. I then decided as I was already feeling rushed we would simply leave.

As I was leaving what I presume to be the managers decided to ask me what was the issue as I explained I was feeling rushed and treated like a peasant I thought it best we leave.

At that time our other family had arrived , I told them we would be leaving , the manager instead of de-escalating the situation , he decided to further escalate by reminding me of my terms and conditions and that a $300 fee would be applied to my bill. What this showed was a lack of experience , a lack of class and quiet frankly a lack of respect.

Someone who is your matre de or manager or whatever this boy thought he was showed a simple act of professionalism by choosing to be condescending in the face of a negative situation.

What proceeded was me leaving my family and moving on somewhere else on my own. The birthday of my son and nephew ruined by some poor choices by the children running this overpriced over ratted establishment .

My advice for the hurricane management , choose better employees to run your front of house, provide training on how to de escalate a situation and on how to take ownership and accountability for some poor word choices.

Finally to other patrons who are looking to spend your hard earned money here. Simply DONT DO IT , one thing that has made hurricanes great on other establishments doesn't exist here. You are paying for ribs , burgers and poorly cooked pasta , it is NOT family friendly and you will keep reminding yourself you are in Cronulla not double Bay as you look at a menu which is overpriced and completely underwhelming .

My review would of given 0 stars but to be able to offer my review I was forced...
