Where do I begin! These guys are located directly opposite the Meriton hotel where we were staying on Pitt street! The delicious smell is what initially took us over there! We were greeted with happy faces and it was honestly such a vibe!! It was my daughters 9th birthday and they stopped the cafe, got everyone to join in and sing happy birthday to her and they gave her a cake with a candle for her!! She was so happy!!
The food here is absolutely delicious!! The paninis are 🤤🤤 the pasta is 🤤🤤 I can’t fault anything! Eggs cooked to perfection! Coffee is delicious!!
Aside from the food being 10 star! The service is equally good if not even better!! Arthur and George really looked after us and honestly we ate nowhere else in Sydney for the few days we were here!!!
It’s such a homely atmosphere and the guys here (and girls) truly and genuinely value each and every customer that walks through the door!! They remember you and what you order! I can see why they are always so busy!!
Guys thank you so much again for looking after us! I genuinely can’t recommend you guys enough and will be telling everyone about you!! And we now have another reason to come back to Sydney sooner rather than later!!
We will miss you guys so much and honestly we wish you all the very best with your business and hope it’s extremely successful for you!!
Guys run, don’t walk! Go eat/drink here and thank...

The cafe itself is cute, comfy and unpretentious. There's not a whole lot of tables but several were available, probably because I went at a slightly odd time (10.45am, very late breakfast)
I ordered the breakfast burger, which was simple but executed flawlessly. I could see this being an amazing hangover food. It came out fast and was perfectly saucy, had perfectly cooked bacon and eggs, and was served on a nice solid milk bun with a generous provision of provolone oozing out the sides. About $16 IIRC, which was a very fair price considering the quality and size. Decaf coffee was really nice too.
The service is amazing. I've been to posh hotels and top tier restaurants that could learn from the staff here. They manage to perfectly straddle that line between professionalism and friendliness -- just the right amount of banter to make you feel like you've been a regular for 20 years already, but not intruding on your space or comfort in an overly familiar way. Really, I think the people working here are just genuinely happy and friendly. They're happy to see you and they love their jobs, and it shows!
This place is a gem hidden in plain sight and I will...
Read moreWalking around Sydney in need to some coffee and a bite to eat, we stumbled upon La Famiglia. We were drawn in by the beautiful, calming environment and the very friendly Arthur and George. The paninis were to die for and so was the coffee. If you are looking for great quality food and drink and some wonderful company, this is the place to go.
The only downside is you might have to order everything on the menu because oh my lord does everything look, smell and taste absolutely heavenly.
Arthur will 100% be the bright spot in your day. I would come back everyday if I didn’t live a 25 hour plane ride away. You know what… those paninis might be worth a couple plane rides. I can not express in words nor in stars how good this place was. I could eat here every day for every meal and it would never get old. Holy cow yum. If you’re having a bad day, eat here. If you’re having a good day, eat here. If you’re not even hungry, eat here.
George and Arthur, Thank you for filling up my water bottle and also for being such amazing and kind human beings. Keep sharing the love...
