// 25 September 2024 After reviewing my transactions, I realized I was mistaken—there is no credit card surcharge. I visited in search of a chocolate croissant, but unfortunately, it was sold out by the time I arrived. Instead, I opted for the Nutella croissant, which was nearly double the size of a regular croissant! It’s easy to see why it gets rave reviews—the richness is undeniable. Just a heads-up: it gets quite messy as you bite into it. The coffee is priced around $3+, making it quite affordable, especially for a spot in town. A bonus for those needing to recharge: there are charging ports on the wall, equipped with both 3-pin and USB-A outlets.

TLDR; A Delightful Experience of Exceptional Customer Service and Delicious Treats Le Monde Bakery truly puts their customers first, providing an exceptional experience that's hard to come by. The friendly family-owned establishment takes the time to know each of their regulars by name and their favorite treats. During my visit, I was treated to a warm and delicious Nutella croissant and a perfectly brewed cup of coffee served quickly and with a smile. The dedication to exceptional customer service makes Le Monde Bakery a must-visit for anyone looking for a delightful experience and mouth-watering treats.

It was good, the price very reasonable for Sydney. I kept things simple and just had the plain croissant and a cappuccino. The coffee was good, and the croissant was fine but nothing to write home about. The staff were lovely and the interior has a nice quaint atmosphere. I later decided to give their almond croissant at try, and that was really nice - maybe I should’ve had it toasted to make it even better? All in all a pleasant experience, and better (and better value) than some of the other nearby places I tired. 👍

I cannot put into words how INCREDIBLE this bakery is! We were in line trying to decide what to order, the line moved so quickly as the people in front of us already knew what they wanted so once it was our turn, I must have had a look on my face that said I have no idea what to order (ha!) The owner was so very sweet, he gave us a paper menu so we could sit down to take time to look over the menu. We decided to dine in and I’m glad we did. The owner personally brought our drinks and food to our table. He also checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. They make the BEST chai latte I have ever had and it’s my go to drink so I’ve had many! My husband and I shared the Greek omelette which was DELICIOUS, a side of toast and also the home made banana bread. The portion size is very generous and if you like banana bread, this is a MUST try! We are only here for a couple more days on holiday, but plan to go back as much...

Just got a take away coffee and ham/cheese croissant from this place. I think the ordering queue and pick up system here could be improved. I wanted to give space to others who were ordering, and I wanted to stay (what I thought) was close enough to hear my name being called for coffee - but the barista was calling my name quite softly and there were heaps of people huddled around the entry door and another customer who hadn’t even ordered had to ask what my name was to help the barista get the coffees out. So I’m not sure if customers should be directed better for efficiency, but I would go back here for a coffee or croissant if I had to experience that each time. I also took my food for takeaway as I felt the table space wasn’t enough. So if you need to walk somewhere to eat, head around the corner to the town hall which is where I sat and ate...

While traveling in NZ and Australia we’ve discovered some of the best places to eat are the bakery cafes. Le MONDE continued that tradition and then some. Our Mediterranean omelet was packed with fresh, flavorful fillings and beautifully plated. My partner and I also shared a ginormous rhubarb and pistachio croissant, a flavor we’ve never encountered before but that combines two of our favorites treats. So delicious and unique to us visiting Californians. My cappuccino was frothy and rich with lots of chocolate notes. My partner’s long black was so good he needed to order a second. We left with a homemade lamington to try later. Yes, everything in the cafe is baked in house by the friendly family owners! We consider it a lucky find for us in our whirlwind...
