Mc Donald's Parramatta North visited on 16/12/2019 at 17:38 ORD #92 REG: 44 TOTAL: $33.20
Although there was no other vehicle behind me, had to cope with the staff members "anything else" question even before I was finished ordering one item. The pressure of this miserable act not only frustrates the customers but also leave us no option but try to get out of there as soon as possible which hits back the franchise owners as a LOSS OF REVENUE!!! I am almost 50 and when I place an order, I prefer to place the correct order - stress free - and of course would like to get what I pay for - clean, presentable. After the young staff member's pushy attitude, ended up skipping my meal and just ordered some food for my 2 kids were travelling in the car with me. When I have moved to the next window, I have been told to wait at the waiting bay as the food was not prepared, so I have moved to the waiting bay and hoped everything would be fine. After 5 minutes waiting, a sweet young female staff member approached and handed over the meal, my kids ordered. As I was not having anything, I decided to drive and moved on. Almost 2 blocks away, my son found out the 10 pieces chicken nuggets which we paid for, were missing and my daughter informed me about the Beef El Macho was terribly prepared (presentation) without salsa/sauce and lettuce all over! One of the mozzarella sticks we ordered and paid for was also missing. I have returned back to the drive thru where I was completely ignored this time. I had to honk 4 times to get their attention - same staff members were in a hurry only 15 minutes ago asking me "if I had anything else to order"!!! Young dude at the window apologized and gave me a box of 10 nuggets (which I paid for already) and a bonus BBQ Sauce! If I were younger, I would walk in, punch every one of them one by one without saying anything as this level of ignorance, arrogance, unprofessionalism - YOU NAME IT - is worse than any action. How hard is it to apologise? No need to tell me about the freshly prepared nuggets, extra FOC BBQ sauce, busy kitchen after a packed peak hour, bushfire around Sydney, the little girl about the climate change; ALL I NEED IS AN APOLOGY!!!! I do not believe the young staff members in your restaurants are been trained properly by professional/mature minded staff members as the level of the customer service says all. IF your budget is not big enough to invite the mature, professional people to train the young/new ones, just motivate the managers you have - motivation does not have to be $$$ al the time; a smiling face, a gift card, a tap on the shoulder does a wonderful job sometimes! Bottom line, I am in hospitality and I get dozens of young kids willing to make career in hospitality however many of them are failing due to their unprofessional, not paid attention/trained enough past in fast food restaurants. Professionally trained staff members will be happy and able to deal with every kind of people which means the business owners will save lots of $$$ without wasting their money compensations...
Read moreNot a fan of McDonald's in general. How anyone can stomach the burgers is completely beyond me. I go mostly for McCafe items as they're pretty standard. Despite my overall low opinion of McDonald's as a whole, North Parramatta has some of the worst customer service I've seen in any fast food restaurant, and that bar is already pretty low. I recently went in for a nice treat, an iced mocha and a little chocolate cake. The cake was exactly as I expected, however the iced mocha tasted like it was nothing but three shots of espresso with some milk and ice sprinkled in and no chocolate flavour or whipped cream on top. When I got up to make a complaint, which I was already quite reluctant to do as my standards are low for McDonald's, I was met with twisted faces and hostility, being told the iced mocha doesn't have whipped cream despite it clearly being advertised with whipped cream and that I have to order it with whipped cream if I want it, as if I'm meant to know that somehow. It didn't even have it as an option for whipped cream when I tried using the express self serve computer that just froze when I tried ordering from it. I get that the staff are underpaid and don't really care much for customer service, but if a customer is rightfully upset with their order it's just common decency to be polite and not argumentative. They remade my order in the end and it tasted more like a mocha than a full strength coffee but I was still overall unhappy with the way I was treated.
Two stars for convenience and free...
Read morethis mcdonald’s is terrible!!! there was a mistake for a double sausage egg muffin and instead of mayo i accidentally pressed bbq, and instead of replacing it the manager made me purchase a new one! Never in my entire life in all of Sydney have any maccas where i needed to replace, they made me purchase a new one instead of them replacing ???? even just last week there were no issues at all at another mcdonald’s joint!
the managers name was Dante !!!!
on top of all of this there was a wild karen customer that i had to deal who decided to croak her ole lil mouth up 🙄 i just told her i don’t care for her opinion like who is she i—
thanks for nothing!
he said “because it’s already been made” and i said “aren’t the customers always right” and he just repeated himself like a broken record and then i asked “are you the manager” and he said “yes” then i said “wow just wow, i see” then i did just purchase a new one, it’s not the fact i had to spend another $10 at all.
also i heavily felt discriminated against because i am gay!
granted perhaps i was tad rude, i could notice him shaking in his hands but he handled it well. On that note honestly, what happened to the customer is always right ? a load of bull that’s what 🫨
i’ve NEVER been turned down a replacement at maccas, this one must not receive a large amount of customers to be worrying about $8 😂
also i’m not a confronting person and been put on the spot, i felt like i was one of those people stare at for creating a huge...
