Google says open but Saturday 10may at 12.20pm you're closed and lights out. ??? 5 stars as an asian takeaway option in the city centre. Good prices, large variety and good flavour. I rarely get asian food when traveling as I'm often unsatisfied. It's a basic shopfront and while they have some sit down tables inside and out, it has absolutely no ambience but if you want takeaway for lunch or dinner, you'll be satisfied. I've provided a pick of their rice/noodle menu but the Japanese family owners also have a variety of other dishes including bento boxes, sushi rolls, dumpings etc and parking out the front. I'd happily give my money to them for my friday night takeout every week than the subway/Maccas and other corporations around the area. We ordered Singapore fried noodles (voted delicious by the meat eater with us) and plenty of bbq pork. Ohako seafood fried rice (lots of fish cakes and a few prawns), veggies etc and you can customise the level of spice as well. The Nasi goreng seafood rice was good as well as the Me Goreng Seafood noodles. But the highlight was the service and the Ohako fried rice. Next time I'm in Geelong I already know I'm going to try their Char Kwai Teo. And the ost lovely owners, just a beautiful couple cooking beautiful food and providing beautiful service. $15 for a full noodle box of rice or noodles and a smile all within 10 minutes, well why are you still reading this, go give them a try and see for yourself!

Love places like this. Opposite Village Cinemas you'll find such a great little Japanese restaurant called Ohako. I was able to custom order my noodle box. This was full of flavour and a great price. It's fairly outdated inside, however very clean. The food was cooked fresh and was fast. The lovely Asian couple here were also very polite too. First time here. Will be back again for sure!

Had the veggie dumplings and homemade spring rolls. So fast and reasonably affordable. Friendly service.

Fist thing. From a pedestrian viewpoint you're looking for the sushi noodle bar. (The sign up top has the full name, but you can't see it from the footpath.)

This is one of the little gems that make Geelong great.

A couple of years ago I was in town after 9pm and grabbing myself a kebab. My partner had requested I look for some handroll, and the lovely lady in here made her some from scratch, in spite of being very close to closing.

Visited last night and my partner got the first GREAT wonton soup she's had since leaving QLD. Crisp veggies. Perfect hand made dumplings and a delicious broth.

I ordered a spicy chicken noodle dish, and after we sat down the owner came outside and asked if I wanted to try a different dish. I accepted her recommendation (it was $3 more than what I had ordered, but we had already paid and it was a free upgrade)

The noodles were perfect. The sauce was divine. The meat and veggies cooked to tender perfection.

11/10 we will...

I'm a fan, love this place. I know a lot of people have given five star reviews but four stars still means excellent to me. I've stopped in and had the pork dumplings/gyoza a couple of times at the end of a day visit from Melbourne. It's just a really nice experience, relaxed and uncluttered, the dumplings are home made and a bit different to what I've had before, firmer and more solid but I really like them. They're very nice and tasty, made with love and the home made element is just lovely. I love the decor, love retro/un-gentrified things and there are some nice Japanese ink drawings on the wall and Japanese decorated crockery. The couple who run the place are really nice and...
