The girl behind the counter could not look more bored and not interested in what she is doing. I ordered strong black coffee and a slice of lemon merangue cake with whipped cream on the side. I got a weak (almost seathrough) black coffee. Some old cake that wasn’t even on the shelf in the fridge when I ordered it. The cream was a liquid mess all over the plate and some random stale looking piece of orange thrown into the cream soup. When I asked the girl who was serving the tables outside for a glass of water she just said, “help yourself inside” and walked off. I tried to get her attention again to tell her about my cake and she would not come to me again or acknowledge me anymore. There was a young man doing a great job serving other customers but pointless telling him anything as he was too busy with everyone else. All in all not worth the money and the hustle. My partner and I dine here quite frequently during the summer months and enjoy the cakes and crepes they serve. Last night however, i ordered and paid for a toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich and i was bought out a cheese and ham sandwich. I wouldn’t usually say anything but, the tomato is my favorite ingredient and i advised the waitress. the waitress herself was lovely however, when she bought my sandwich back out, i could tell the chef had just opened it in two and added the cut up tomato, thrown it back together and sent it off without even retoasting it. The tomato was cold and the cheese that had melted initially wasn’t even on the sandwich anymore. I just thought this was incredibly lazy and it’s put me off going back to be honest. This is the first time I have given constructive criticism in in regards to an eatery/cafe. And been quite disappointed My previous food reviews have always been positive and upbeat. The food was ordinary and unappealing visually on the plate. And four out of the five of the people at our table agreed with this. And only one person out of five enjoyed their meal . Four people had toasted sandwiches. The bread was quite stale and dry. The cheese and ham was very sparse and there was no butter on any of them. And they were nearly cold.
