Tourist Trap tactics!
I can’t fault the quality of the food here, the Pizza’s are good, and the only reason this gets two stars. I do not appreciate however shady business practices by owners, based on location!
This pizza restaurant has sister places in Innsbruck. I tried to order carry out pizza from their location on Pizzeria ACASA on Viaductbogen (Highly Recommended). There was a street festival at the time, and that location was overwhelmed, and they did not pick up the phone, or respond online (understandable). I called this location and placed the order with their online menu, with published prices for carryout.
When I went to pick up the pizza, the price was significantly higher than their menu price listed on their website! I expressed dissatisfaction with this, and stated they should honor their listed prices. I was promptly told by their employee if I wanted a lower price, I should order from the other location, as this one has higher prices as it is in the Old City?? I told them nobody answered the phone there, further this is carryout, not dining in, and that is the listed price? Unfortunately it was later in the evening, and I had guest from out of town that were hungry, otherwise, I would not have paid for it and left!
It is shady tactics like this that give restaurants in the Old City a bad name. I will not support...
Read moreThere was a man and a woman staff where standing in front of the restaurant , we asked if we could be seated and he didn’t even listen to what we said he was like no nooo no ( just to inform you that: the tables outside half of it is empty ) which I didn’t understood his attitude and we tried to talk to him he ignored us and spoke to his colleague and just stood there . So one of my family member went to him to speak , he acted like as if he doesn’t understand us which clearly he understood us in the beginning when we asked to sit .
I can clearly see that he is racist to hijab women , and this is unacceptable in the year of 2025 where most of the people are taught to respect everyone, regardless of their religion . And he isn’t...
Read moreEverything about this place is a tourist trap. The menu outside translated for multiple languages, being rushed to eat, right in the touristy old town, and worst of all, we were sold €8,8 worth of WATER. Mind you, free water fountains with the best tap water I’ve ever drank are a short walk away. If we had known we would’ve been charged for expensive bottled water, we would’ve gotten up and left.
Pizza was good, very thin and floppy, which is fine if you’re into that. They’re plenty large, so share a pizza, don’t order your own. The dessert menu was forced on us afterwards even though we were ready to pay. We were done.
It’s our own fault for ignoring the tourist trap red flags and falling for it, but the experience is still...
