I will start this off by saying WOW. My family and I came to Di Renzi during our vacation in Salzburg, Austria. Best meal we’ve had on our 3.5 week Europe trip. The service was great, the location and vibe were great, but the food was where we were blown away. We got the spaghetti aglio e olio e peperoncino, spaghetti aglio e olio e peperoncino con gamberi and spaghetti con crema di funghi e manzo. All were amazing, but the spaghetti con crema di fughi e manzo was absolutely mind blowing. At first we thought the dish was a bit pricey at €38.50, but once we got the dish, we understood why. They were quite generous with the steak portions and it was of very high quality. The mushrooms were so flavourful and all the ingredients went perfectly together. Truly one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had (which is a lot coming from an Italian). Already booked a reservation for tomorrow, could not recommend more. It would be a real shame to miss Di Renzi. Truly...

Appetizers and wine amazing! I can come back for this. And the pastas... The restaurant specializes in pasta - I thought they would be delicious. Unfortunately... the pasta was too fatty. Fat is a taste, but this was disgustingly greasy. Very sad and incredibly important, pasta should be AL DENTE. And the pasta we got was overcooked like mush. After pointing it out to the waiter, he only apologized. Where's the suggestion to replace the dish? Refund? Where is this elegant treatment of the customer? It's enough that the things weren't ok - the waiter asked for a tip at the end. is this some joke? of course - I had a tip for the waiter in cash. But for the main meal, for treating a customer this way after complaining- is the waiter still able to ask for a tip? The restaurant seems to be focused on exploiting tourists? Because what else can I think about... Maybe one day I will come back for delicious wine - but Unfortunately, I was left a bit...

Di Renzi was easily my favorite dining experience in Salzburg. My partner and I had an amazing time our first night in town. We each had the spaghetti - one with prawns and one with beef fillets. Both were incredible - light and oil based but the flavor was excellent. We also had a seafood antipasti starter featuring prawns, mussels, and octopus which was delectable. Our server, Mark, was fantastic, and we later found out that he was also the head chef.

We enjoyed our experience so much that we came back two days later with our friends! They were equally impressed. We had the Wednesday special where they tossed the pasta noodles in a wheel of Parmesan and top with prosciutto which was as good as it sounds.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. We’ve traveled all over Germany and Austria over the past several weeks and have tried just about every cuisine imaginable at dozens of restaurants. They all take a backseat...

Unfortunately I can only give this place 3 stars because of the amount of time I waited to be served. I know it was a Saturday night and they were busy but I still shouldn’t have to wait 25 minutes to be even offered a drink. I waited 10 minutes for the menu and then a further 15 for my order to be taken. I think they realised their mistake after that because the service was speedy. I ordered the pasta with king prawns and vegetables which was very nice. The prawns were good quality and cooked just right. I ordered the chocolate soufflé for dessert which was obviously a fondant when it came and not a soufflé (they need to change the menu) but was a good fondant nonetheless.
