Innergebirg, although being a bit hard to find due to there being a different name on the sign outside, was a very nice restaurant with great-tasting food, good atmosphere, and amazing service. I started with the Carpaccio salad, which was a mix of carpaccio, lettuce, slivered cheese, and green olives topped with a BBQ-style sauce, with its own European twist. The meat had a strong smoky taste, and the cheese was mild. For my main course I had the cheese filled sausage with mustard and horseradish, which, having read the English translated menu was a bit different than I expected, but delicious and surprisingly filling. In the center of the plate was a long sausage, which may have had cheese inside but I could not tell for sure. On the side was a strong (dijon I think) mustard, and some shredded horseradish which when combined with the sausage and mustard, was very pleasant. For dessert I sampled a few different items. The Curd-Cheese strudel was delicious. With a hard outer layer, it appeared to be cut form some sort of loaf, nessled in a vanilla sauce. The Apricot dumplings weren't my favorite since im not a big fan of the fruit, but was apricot in an almost spongy doughy, topped with powdered sugar. The fruit and nut cake was served in a little pot, and was nice and moist. On the side was whipped cream and a delicious vanilla ice cream. The service was also excellent, and our wait or was extremely friendly and polite. It seems like many places to go for dinner can take hours where you can just sit and talk to family, not rushed at all, and this is no exception. Overall a great experience, which I would...
Read moreWe were very excited to eat here, however, everything changed as soon as we opened the door. There were 3 adults, a 8month-baby and a 2year-old kid, and even though there were tables available inside (only 2 couples eating in the restaurant at this time) the waiter told us to sit outside because there were no space for the buggies, and it was -2 degrees outside!!! What kind of person can invite you to sit outside with 2 kids in this cold winter?? We offered her to leave the buggies in the entrance and use 2 of the available tables, she said NO again, then we offered to leave the two buggies outside to not occupied the entrance and she said “ok”… but her face said the opposite… I personally started to take my daugther out from the buggy and she said that we had to do it outside! She was literally kicking us out. I got so angry and we left because this person didn’t deserve our presence at all. Seriously I still don’t understand how this business is still running becase she didn’t feel like working at all. We won’t never try again...
Read moreWhat a lovely spot! My fiancé and I came here for lunch during a day trip to Salzburg and it was definitely the best spot we had visited.
Right off the bat, the waiter was super friendly and offered us English menus. Throughout our time there, he was pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself is small but cozy, and has a warm ambiance.
We both got a different kind of flammekueche (called tarte flambée on thé English menu) and both loved it! Mine was the special (onions, leek, bacon and cheese), while his was the classic (tomato, green pepper, bacon and cheese) and they were so tasty.
Highly recommend this spot when in Salzburg!
Tip: if you’re planning to come for lunch, try and make it a bit earlier; we came for 11 and were seated, while others arriving at noon...
