The steak was good, however the end of our dining experience was interesting. My husband is more understanding and wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I know in Europe tips are not generally expected unlike the USA. However, I knew at finer establishments it is nice to give tips and welcomed. When we were about to pay for the meal I was asked if we would like to pay tip by credit card or by cash. It was not an option. I felt we had to pay and there was no question. I would not call this a michelin star restaurant, but the quality was good. My husband made the suggestion maybe they don't think we understand the tipping system so they wanted to fill us in so we dont leave without tipping them, or they wanted to make it easier for us since theres no place on the credit card bill to include tip unless you include it in the total final bill. We were planning on leaving something, but just left kind of a funny taste at the end of a fine meal. Sour way to end a meal. Just a forewarning, if you're not a local German speaking client i.e. foreigner there is a high probability that this can happen to you. Caution, cuidado. ...

The fame highland cattle breed that was made famous by Mark Schatzker’s book, Steak. This restaurant build its reputation on serving highland beef from farm to fork concept. Originally, we planned to order the Juhu (name of their farm) lady cut and the normal portion, however the service lady was pleasantly convincing that we should be having their Tomahawk steak to share. We also ordered 2 soups, the traditional beef broth with cheese dumplings and the maroni (chestnut) cream soup.

Food experience were excellent in terms of service quality as service was pristine and attentive to customers. Both soup featured their own characteristics that serves as good appetizers. Unfortunately, the tomahawk didn’t elevate the food as 2/3 of the meat itself was medium well instead of medium rare. What was left were silvers of the tomahawk steak that had to be shared between us (we did thought that we could had a better dining experience if we stuck on with individual steaks). Dessert was nicely done that wasn’t too overwhelming, and it acts as a nice cleanser after heavy...

Wow ! This was the best meal we’ve had in a long time ! The Wiener schnitzel was the most tender and delicious served with the traditional potato’s and cranberry sauce (potatoes were cooked to perfection 👍) my partner had the double chicken burger with fresh lettuce and a super fresh bun the chicken was spicy and also very tender served with the best sweet potato chips we’ve ever had !!! Dessert was apple strudel with vanilla sauce This was amazing 🤩 light pastry with apple and brandy/cognac filling topped with a smooth and creamy vanilla sauce !

Service from both waiters was excellent and friendly.

We enjoyed it so much we did not take any photos because we were to busy enjoying our meal !🤣🤣🤣

Then after we finished our meal it was raining ☔️ so as we stood in the restaurant door way contemplating what to do the restaurant owner/ manger gave us an umbrella 🌂 which was so kind of him 👍👍

We’re on a tour tomorrow we are already thinking about what we want to eat afterwards!🥰🥰🥰

This restaurant deserves 10 stars...

This is a restaurant, quite expensive, avg 23-32EUR per dish. Service was good (staff were very friendly), location good, tables nice. Food wasn't very good: the trout was a whole fish including all its bones which was very difficult and messy to pick out, also completely bland. The goulash was flavorful but very overcooked/dry. One piece was completely fat which wasn't edible. Portions are much too big to finish. Water is not provided, I believe 3EUR for tap water.

Food and service were both great. Our servers were friendly, accommodated requests to share food, were prompt with refilling our water jug and spoke fluent English. The surf and turf starter of caviar, truffle and beef carpaccio is an excellent blend of flavours. Baked pumpkin and polenta is also delicious. And the beef is tender and tasty. The sliced beef with a crust of mustard seeds is a good way of cooking the beef. Overall very enjoyable.
