Awesome rooftop cocktail bar! We’re visiting from New York and the vibe is reminiscent of cool rooftop bars back home, but with a breathtaking view of Vienna’s historic city center. We arrived at 9:30pm on a Saturday night and only had a 5-10 minute wait for a table, which is amazing because there’s no way you could get into a place like this in New York or London without a reservation (let alone only wait a few minutes to be seated). Shoutout to the staff who were always available to bring us another round! And, yes, we obviously returned for cocktail hour at the pool the next day at 4:30pm. 80°F and this view in September? Perfect.

I’ve been at Cayo Coco sever times now since it opened and I can say that the Cuban cocktails taste very good (my favorite being the Classic Daiquiri), the finger food is great (had the fries, the nachos and the shrimps) and the Churros is splendid as it has some cinnamon on top, it is a must try. They definitely improved their service which I find vital for the business and client experience. All of the above and the views of the city make Cayo Coco one of the best places in Vienna (I also celebrated my birthday there). ❤️

Disappointing Experience!!!

Looking for an authentic Cuban vibe and a delightful rooftop experience? Unfortunately, this place falls drastically short of expectations. As a frequent diner, I must express my profound disappointment with the overall service, ambiance, and culinary offerings at this establishment.

First and foremost, let's address the elephant in the room – the staff. Untrained, rude, and downright unfriendly, they epitomize everything a hospitality professional should not be. From their impolite mannerisms to their lack of synchronization in enforcing rules, each encounter feels like a battle of wits. It's disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for customer service standards.

Moreover, the menu fails to excite or impress. Instead of tantalizing Cuban delicacies, patrons are met with a lackluster array of uninspired dishes. The promise of a culinary journey through Cuban flavors is quickly shattered, leaving guests with a sense of dissatisfaction and longing for something more.

To make matters worse, the wait times for orders are egregiously long. It's evident that the staff's incompetence extends beyond their demeanor to their efficiency in fulfilling basic customer requests. Our evening was marred by endless waiting, further exacerbated by the palpable lack of care and attention from the staff.

Perhaps most disappointing is the absence of Cuban vibes. Despite its purported identity, it feels like just another generic rooftop bar with a superficial facade of "nice design." The essence of Cuban culture is conspicuously absent, leaving guests with a hollow and unfulfilled experience.

Adding insult to injury, the staff's demeanor borders on aggressive, as if guests owe them something for the privilege of dining at their establishment. This hostile atmosphere not only ruins the dining experience but also taints any desire to return in the future.

Our visit was nothing short of a disaster. The combination of untrained, rude staff, disappointing menu offerings, and lackluster ambiance has solidified my decision never to set foot in this establishment again. It's evident that significant changes are needed to salvage Hoxton’s reputation and restore it to its former glory as a haven for Cuban-inspired cuisine and hospitality. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant...

My wife and I visited Cayo Coco on Friday to check out the new rooftop and we were not disappointed. We arrived without a reservation as it was a last minute decision to visit. When we arrived we spoke to a friendly young chap in the reception area who informed us that they were fully booked unless we had a reservation; however we could wait downstairs and as soon as they had space we could go up. We grabbed a drink and sat for 15 minutes before they informed us that there was a table available but inside only. When we arrived upstairs we were greeted by one of the friendly hosts who then went off to find a table. We stood for a few minutes waiting but as we were stood a gentleman came over (later found out this was the manager) and asked if were being attended to, very attentive! The host then returned and said a couple were just about to leave and would we like to sit outside. Of course we said yes and were eventually escorted outside to sit a table right at the edge of the terrace with a stunning view over Vienna! We were handed the menus swiftly, given water and sat deciding what we were going to drink/eat. The weather was perfect and the ambiance great! The music they were playing suited the setting so well and reminded us of being back in South America. A young, polite waitress came over to take our order and before we knew it, everything had arrived. The food was really tasty and good portion sizes: We took the cuban crispy fries, crispy coconut shrimp, superfood salad and cayo coco cuban sandwich. All washed down with a bottle of Jurtschitsch: Grüner Veltliner Löss. The toilets were immaculately clean, which is isn't always the case for such busy establishment. All of the staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and you could tell despite them being extremely busy, were really enjoying what they were doing; giving the customer the best experience possible! I was so happy with our visit, I sought out the manager and thanked him personally. He was very polite, friendly and really appreciated the honest feedback; top bloke! If you live in Vienna or are on vacation; want great food, drink and excellent service with a smile, this is the place to visit! We will be regular...

Also gut, runterschlucken, durchatmen, weiter gehts.
