Excellent authentic Italian ice cream.

Come and enjoy some of the very best ice cream in town at a true local institution while you still can! ... there is word the the owners may retire next year, so make the most of the remaining time lest you regret it.

The walnut ice cream is amazing and not overpriced like at Tuchlauben nearby. The large cup with 5 scoops is the best value option here.

If you sit down, try the Laguna blue ice cream cocktail or the Eiskaffee fest (coffee ice cream and coffee, stirred), one of the best if not even the best in town.

Great terrace for people watching.

Ah, and one more thing for the upset folks with the misguided negative reviews here who can't be bothered to read the clear signs: Like in practically all ice cream parlours in Vienna, there are two ways to order your ice cream: sitting at a table, selecting coups or scoops from the dine-in menu, which includes tableware, water, and full service order waffle cones or paper cups of scoops to go at the street counter. These are cheaper of course and to take out only and, no, you cannot buy these and then sit at the tables. Your outrage about this clearly posted setup that is a common norm here is unfair...

I came to this place with my family.

When ordered the guy who took my order did not speak English very well. I ordered and he told me something about the setting, that I can’t sit if i ordered a paper cup. I didn’t understand at first. But an old guy who seemed to be the owner of the place told me that I can’t sit and i should leave. He was very rude so as the old lady. When i sat down she came to me very rudely telling me to stand up and leave in a very unpleasant way.

After that we understood that it is their policy and if we want to sit we need to order an iron plate or something else. But they didn’t let us. Even when i just wanted some water they refused to give me a bottle.

I used to come to this place 6 years ago but sadly when i came back they turned out to become racists and disrespectful to tourists.

I do not recommend eating...

Eine Katastrophe! Wer zu faul zum Lesen ist ich wurde richtig extrem respektlos behandelt geschimpft und auch noch beim Eis essen 10 mal gestört. Bodenlose Frechheit sondergleichen. Nie wieder.

5 Sterne für die Sorten 0 Sterne für das Service. Ich wollte nur wissen ob es Snacks gibt und nur ein ja oder nein hören die erste serviererin gab mir nur das WLAN Passwort wonach ich nicht fragte die 2. Schaute mich böse an und sagte moment als sie nochmal vorbeikam und nochmal fragte sagte sie noch ärgerlicher moment dann kam sie auch schon zu mir und sagte ich kann nicht kommen und erwarten gleich beachtet zu werden. Ich wollte auch nicht mehr bei ihr bestellen und bin zu eisvitrine um dort zu bestellen dann schimpfte sie laut auf italienisch und machte sich lustig über mich. Den Kollegen an der Eis Vitrine habe ich wie ich es immer mache gutes Trinkgeld gegeben weil ich selber in der Gastronomie arbeite und weil ich das gute Gefühl kenne Trinkgeld zu bekommen. Ich setzte mich in den schanigarten wo noch 7 bis 10 freie Tische waren und wurde mehrmals aufgefordert dass ich gehen muss weil ich mich nur hinsetzen darf wenn ich bestelle. Das habe ich aber und erklärte ihr ich habe wenig Zeit da ich in der 30minütigen Pause schnell mein Eis genießen will. Sie hörte mir nicht zu unterbrach mich sehr oft und kam ca 4 mal zu mir ich blieb sturr. Wenn es nur noch 1 Tisch frei wäre wäre ich ja gegangen aber es waren einfach serh viele frei. Sie sagte auch sie hole jetzt die Chefin wonach ich eigentlich nicht verlangen wollte da ich ja wenig Zeit hatte und einfach später am Abend eine Email mit dem Problem schicken wollte. Dann kam aber die 1. Kollegin die mir das Passwort mitteilte und ich eigentlich nach toast gefragt habe ob es einen gäbe.... Ich fragte ganz überrascht ob sie die Chefin sei worauf sie mir mit ja antwortete und sagte ich muss gehen. Ich weiß aber wie die Chefin aussieht da ich schon öfter dort essen war und beim 1. Mal die chefin nach einem bankomat fragte. Und blieb deswegen trotzdem sturr und die "Chefin" ging eigentlich recht rasch und kümmerte sich weiter um die Gäste wobei die andere jüngere serviererin mich noch öfter auffordert zu gehen. Und bis heute also 6 Tage nach der Email wurde mir keine Antwort zugesendet.

Bin wirklich sehr enttäuscht dass ein Kundenabhängiges Lokal nicht...
