If 0 stars were possible they’d get that but I can’t leave a review without at least one star.
When we arrived we entered and asked if we could sit outside. The man at the front desk told us to take a seat and the server would be with us shortly. So we did just that.
When the server came to the table he didn’t greet us or anything normal… he immediately began to berate us because we sat at a table he hadn’t had time to clean yet ( it was busy everywhere else in town and we took the table available that would fit our party so we didn’t lose it). He then continued complaining to himself (out loud In front of us) that people are just so impatient and when I commented to him that we could certainly leave if we were bothering him, he started acting like he was just joking and we shouldn’t be so sensitive. Real funny “joke” bud.
He then proceeded to spray the table with cleaner and also all of us at the table, including spraying my friend’s 5 year old in the face. No. I’m not joking or exaggerating. He sprayed a 5 year old in the face with cleaning solution.
Needless to say we left and won’t ever be back. The tall white headed man running the terrace absolutely was unacceptable with his demeanor and behavior.
Absolutely don’t give this place your time or money. This was one of the most absurd experiences I’ve ever had anywhere in the world while trying to enjoy an evening out.
As someone who has worked in the service industry for many years as a server I can understand that sometimes you’re having a rough day and customers can be tough. But you don’t ever act like that outwardly. Even more so to a group that has just arrived and you haven’t even said hello to.
Truly pathetic and unbelievably unprofessional. Again… can’t emphasize enough that the tall white headed jerk sprayed my friends child in THE FACE...

We were brought bread without being asked unknowingly being charged $5.10 euros each. The man brought the bread and said “to soak up the alcohol” without asking just placing it down. So to receive the bill being $163.70 euros we would have liked to be asked first as we were ordering plentiful of food. The entrees were great but the main meal my grandmother received a Wiener Schnitzel full of gristle and she was unable to cut! It was very chewy and hard to swallow which is not expected for a high end establishment. I also ordered a Margarita which was just lemon juice, our waiter kind of treated us like we wouldn’t know better but as someone who works at a Tequila Bar and was a bartender for many many years it was quite insulting. Another worker changed the drink for me and was super sweet! The main worker we had was pretty mad at me for not liking it though which I found to be unprofessional. It is my grandmothers first time abroad and trying this dish so I am not happy with the experience especially...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our stay at the Guesthouse Vienna. The service was outstanding. I had written for advice for Christmas Eve dinner reservations and the hotel staff made dozens of calls for me for about a week trying to find something for us! No other of the 10 hotels we stayed at during our trip, did the staff go out of their way to do anything like that! The restaurant even gave me a real fork when we were leaving and I had asked for a takeaway fork!
They also did a really cool job with the decor and the smallish space of the rooms. I loved the vibe, and my husband loved the amazing coffee machine in the room and the scented spray for your pillow at night. I also loved the welcome sweets- soo good. We don’t drink much, but I was shocked they offer free wine. What hotel does that?
The location is fabulous too! My one regret is that we didn’t have a chance to eat at the restaurant - maybe that would be good- if it could be included. It looked delicious.
I would absolutely...
