Intermezzo Bar — Restaurant in Vienna

Luxe Vibe, Great Drinks, Old World Glamour.......We visited this gorgeous bar during our 2 stays at the Intercontinental during Feb/March. We spent several evenings in the bar (as the Club Intercontinental lounge was shut during our stay). This is our vibe - we understand some people like modernist, Scandinavian, bare birch chic. Not us - we love the old world luxury vibe, the massive (who cleans that thing?) crystal chandelier surrounding the altar (to booze, fun and good times). The drinks are amazing - particularly the Mai Tais and the Aperol Spritz. They also have a variety of Gin & Tonics - my oh my! Just. So. Good. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional - big shout out to Thomas, so far so good old friend. Even if we weren’t staying there but happened to be in Vienna - we’d definitely go back, for the service, the vibe, the drinks and those awfully addictive...

I've enjoyed coffee with cake here a couple of times. Service is impeccable and the coffee excellent. The patisserie is perhaps not the very best in the city but is certainly up there with it. I thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake. I also really love the traditional style of the ladies' room! My friend had some of the white tea on the menu - but it was disappointingly bitter. Perhaps too many leaves, perhaps left...
