Loca is what you are if you pay €79 for six courses here or consider this fine dining. There is one server and one cook compared to similarly priced Michelin starred restaurants we've been to (in Spain admittedly where things are cheaper) but where you have one server a good runner and a sommelier for every few tables and sauciers, pastry chefs sous chefs etc in the kitchen. I would absolutely avoid booking here, we decided after a long day sightseeing that we were too tired for a six course meal and when we phoned they kindly agreed to give us a three course meal for €50 each. The starter was a prawn and papaya salad, the main was duck breast which was on the tough side and had no sauce and some some overcooked celery and courgette, and desert was a mango and coconut rice ice sorbet which was far too acidic. There was nothing innovative, the best I can say is that the prawns and duck breast were not overcooked. We had a much nicer meal at Liebsteinsky the night before which was less expensive and nearby so if you need an alternative book there, or better yet save the €80 and make yourself a sandwich, and you will probably feel...
Read moreAmazing food, amazing wine tasting selection. All wines were amazing. The veal, super good, the pumpkin soup with duck couldn’t have tasted better. The cesar salad good (better than expected). The tuna was very good and the Austrian style fish even better!! I totally recommend the place. All wines surprise us, mostly a Chardonnay Austrian wine (a must), another Austrian with Grapes from Hungry and the rose-tasting wine. The least exciting dish was the dessert. The honey ice cream SO GOOD though it was a very small amount, full with very nice fruits but nothing you couldn’t prepare at home (apart from the ice cream). Service GREAT lovely stuff. And super cosy place to have dinner. Perfect for romantic occasions or anybody that enjoys good food. Around 100e each...
Read moreWe were really excited about this place, but unfortunately, food was not good. I got the vegan option and my husband got the regular option. We both didn't enjoy the dishes. First salad was good, the other four - I had only a few bites from each. I actually didn't like it at all. We were served cold watermelon soup, weird vegan chicken and lemony pasta with chewy herbs. None of which was to my taste. The desert was actually good, but it was a sorbet with mangos and sweet popcorn from a bag. I expected something more. The service was OK, straight to the point. We paid almost 300 euros including wine and juice pairing and tip. Sadly, it wasn't...
