I think this is a restaurant that anyone visiting Vienna should visit at least once. Every time I have the opportunity to visit Vienna, I always go to this place. With just the first try, the dish here conquered me with its rich sauce. I also always recommend it to my friends every time they say they are going to visit Vienna. The food here can be said to be extremely suitable for my taste. The ribs are marinated and grilled just right. There are some rib marinades that are always in my top favorites and must be chosen every time I come to the restaurant, which are traditional flavors (marinated according to the restaurant's own style), garlic flavor and Hawaiian flavor (this one also according to your opinion). However, the restaurant space will be quite small and located in the basement, so it is important to reserve a table in advance. It is the best to book a table at least 1 or 2 days before in advance to be sure because the restaurant will always be full if you book too close to the time or worse, there are no more seats. Besides, considering ordering is also a thing to consider because the portion here is also very big. 1 serving can eat from 2 to 3 people depending on the eating capacity. However, the prices of the dishes are also very reasonable and also the drink is really tasty. And also the waiting time for the ribs takes a little bit long, so if it could, please order it as soon as possible. If you have chance to visit Vienna, I think, this is one of the muss try restaurants. ❤️❤️

Definitely recommend making a reservation if you can. We came to our 7pm reservation on time and were greeted to a spacious table immediately as we saw loads of people turned away and told the next availability was to after 9:30 (same with our first experience here years ago, without booking). The ribs are generous for what they cost and delicious beyond their price tags. €18.50~ for a 3 set in total ~1m end to end. I got 2 pieces (instead of 3) for €16,something. Their beers were delicious and priced reasonably as with the rest of the city. The two girls next to us had to takeaway a 3 rack set they shared ~~ just FYI for sizing + see my photos. About reservations: We emailed them on 13 December and got a response straight away (annoying that it can’t be done any other way but I guess it also helps run the place for serious patrons only). We got a booking for 26/12 and 28/12 haha boyfriend LOVES these ribs. Came the first time 4 years ago and we’ve now moved to London permanently and decided to visit Vienna again (not just for the ribs but it was a big influence). We were turned away in 2015 and had to come back later for very very late dinner so we knew this place needed booking. This place has NOT gotten any less popular!!

The place is amazing. We go down, underground and enter historical halls. There are dining tables with charming lighting and music that fits the atmosphere. I came to the restaurant with my older son who was celebrating his birthday. The restaurant was full with reservations two weeks ahead and even though I forgot to make a reservation, the lovely manager who greeted us Konrad made efforts and after the wait we got a table and the wait was not in vain. Alex the charming waiter served us with a smile and explained to us about the different dishes. I recommend eating their flagship dish which is the ribs in different flavors. It was so delicious. It was an experience that will not be forgotten and especially my son had a great time and the restaurant made him a surprise and brought him a cake with distillation in honor of his birthday. The prices are reasonable and the food was above expectations. highly recommend. Attached are pictures of the food we ate. At first we ate soup: goulash and mushrooms. After that we ate Viennese schnitzel and ribs in different flavors. Everything was delicious.. Thanks to Konrad and Alex for the lovely experience.

Came here because of all the recommendations I hear from blogs and food review platforms, and the restaurant did not disappoint. I was here on a Friday evening, with no booking (tried to book the day before but it was already all full) and of course when I got there I was told the restaurant is full with no tables until 10pm. The restaurant manager offered a table the next day at lunch but as it was our last night in Vienna, I told him we wouldn't be able to make it and will have to miss this and try something else. He was extremely kind and didn't want us to go away disappointed so he asked that we wait while he tries his best to squeeze out a place for 2. Eventually we managed to get a table and did enjoy the ribs of Vienna which was what everyone raved about, soft and flavourful, the coleslaw was also out of the world. Best I've had.. and we did order a mixed salad to go with the meats which I felt was one of the best I've had. Fresh ingredients and refreshing dressing. The other highlight that cannot be missed is the mixed beer. A MUST HAVE!

We recently had dinner of Ribs of Vienna a fun place to try. This seems to be a very popular place. We dined midweek early evening, finding the restaurant full up. Luckily, there were some upstairs tables for walk-ins so they were able to accommodate us. If you are a larger group or want to ensure table, probably best to make reservation at Ribs of Vienna. Basically, you come here for the spareribs. They offer around 20 (seasoning and sauce) varieties and serve up large portions. We found the ribs a bit tough and dry, much easier to eat with your hands as the pork didn't carve off the bone well. Flavours were mixed, we didn't care for the garlic much. The Diablo ribs were nicely seasoned and tasted good. In the end, we preferred the ribs at Purstner the following night. They were noticeably better quality. However, we found Ribs of Vienna to be a fun place for families and groups who want to try a wide variety of ribs.

The ribs are decent. Not too salty, which we really liked. But these aren't those soft American ribs so don't expect that level of softness. Also, I wouldn't recommend the tuna salad, it was really soggy and the lettuce that came with the ribs was more than enough. We had some of the salad leftover. The 1m rib plus a pint of beer should be fine for two girls. Service-wise, it's definitely on the more tourist friendly side - with English menus and waiters fluent in English, you will have no issues ordering. However, some of the waiters seem to solicit tips directly (is that even legal?) and I couldn't help but notice that all tourists of a certain skin colour were being seated in the hotter, more shady seats with small tables. I might be wrong, but I've had just too many racist encounters recently that I couldn't help but feel this way... But the individual waiters were mostly very nice compared to other establishments.
