SERVUS Wien Hohenstaufengasse — Restaurant in Vienna

Update: Upon our last few visits we’ve found ourselves quite disappointed with the food and its quality. Sadly, as it happens with many restaurants they just don’t maintain the service nor the good food. Servus used to have ribs to die for, crispy, flavorful backhendl, and service that would leave you wanting to return. Portions have been reduced, taste has changed and a few items have been removed from the menu. There’s room for improvement and I hope next time we visit Servus has stepped up again!

Incredible quality food! Nice environment and very welcoming staff. We ordered ribs and backhendl. The ribs were the juiciest I’ve tried so far, good portion, with two sides and crunchy fries, and most importantly the beef fell off the bone. Delicious BBQ sauce, you can tell it’s made there as it’s not intense as supermarket ones. Besides, the backhendl was perfect, crunchy crust and tender accompanied with potato salad. I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant in my life! From start to finish, it was an absolute disgrace! The waiter acted complete rude. He was rude, inattentive, and utterly unprofessional. We waited long for our food, and when we asked for the bill, they blatantly tried to scam us by overcharging and adding extra fees. The bill already included a service charge, yet they demanded an additional 17 euros as a tip. The waiter was a rude, bad person who clearly has no idea how to treat customers. We were a family of five, and we absolutely didn’t deserve such disgusting treatment. I will never set foot in this place again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
