Stelldichein - Café Meierei Volksgarten — Restaurant in Vienna

It’s a nice atmosphere but the service was slow and unhelpful. We ordered just a beer and passion fruit spritz and water. We had to wait 25 minutes and chase staff multiple times firstly for the water and then for an update for a beer and passion fruit spritz and watched lots of other people get their drinks before us despite getting there earlier. It would have been ok (things happen) if we got updated but they would avoid our table so we had to go out of our way to get an update and then our drinks. The passion spritz also had too much liqueur so was way too sweet and didn’t finish it. Left feeling...

The tour I was in deciced to come to the cafe to rest, have a break from walking and to try apple strudel. And the ice coffee!

As we had a local guide I guess we were lucky enough to bypass any some sort unpleasantly interaction, like some of the review you find here. The only thing that it look a bit long time to get our drinks, other than that it's was nice plasss to rest in the shades .

The ice coffe was good refreshing from the heat and everybody loved the apple strudel. Since the cafe is in the park close to big sights so there will always be a traffic of people and you might be lucky...

Ordered only water and beer. Needed to wait for collecting order for 15 min, I get it was busy but waiter looked at us and went to move tables and was walking around instead of taking order. Tip is not included and the waiter informed us when paying. There was no option not to give a tip when paying by card, as even if you were not happy with service you needed to leave at least 5% with the staff person watching your every move and hoovering over you.
