Vittorio Swiss Chocolate 1871- handmade by Vittorio Vanini SA Lugano — Restaurant in Vienna

I don't think I have ever put 1 star in a store, but this deserve it...

I went there last week and I bought a hot chocolate. A kind waitress proposed me to buy some chocolate as well, because it was their speciality. Indeed, I peaked a small piece. Although I tried to find a pricelist in the store, there was nothing around, but I didn't said anything because I couldn't imagine the cost... So, when I went to pay, I realised that they charged me more than 25€ for a small piece of chocolate (and about 5€ for the hot chocolate)!! I am still trying to find out how they charged per kg! And of course they didn't gave me any receipt...

Was it good and tasty?! Yes, the quality was good...

But if you ask if it worth the price?! No at all!! And I don't care about the price. I feel they cheat the clients because they don't have a pricelist on a prominent point, to give you the opportunity to choose!

But in fact, if someone tolds you that you are going to pay about 200€/kg for a small piece chocolate, how many customers should buy??! Only the Princess Sisi for the palace...

Don’t remember the last time I gave a 1 star review but this one is worth it. One scoop of ice cream for 4,20€ is by far the most expensive ice cream I have ever seen in Austria! We stupidly agreed to having one and we had to laugh for the entire afternoon. The man working there, although friendly, gave my son the SMALLEST smudge of ice cream I have ever seen. I honestly thought he wasn’t done yet until I realized he was trying to give me the cone in my hand… what an absolute joke! Even my 3 year old complained about the size of that thing. I regret not telling the waiter about it but it was just such a strange situation that we were happy to leave....

Unfortunately not recommending it as the chocolates taste really old as if they don’t store the chocolate properly. The seller offering the chocolate also couldn’t tell me where the chocolate was coming from originally, which is a pity as each country and region has distinct tastes, nonetheless we bought 4 different types and except the flavors like orange or salts which are strong, the pure chocolates tasted more like old paper (due to no proper storage). as the chocolate lays outside without any cover it’s no surprise when it comes to flavor. resuming: overpriced and with little to no good taste of the chocolate...
