Yoshi Sushi Cafe — Restaurant in Baku City

Top draw nigiri i gunkan. İ had five pieces of each: ikura roe, eel and salmon. Generous portion size, fresh, absolutely delicious. İ actually ordered tobiko flying fish roe but they were out of tabiko and instead gave me ikura -- 7 manat more expensive but, at 12 manat apiece, absolutely worth it. İ also ordered chicken katsu. That was okay but not of the calibre of the sushi İ had eaten. Tonkatsu sauce was perfect; the chicken filet needed to be sliced into much thinner strips and the chicken itself perhaps served slightly crispier. No real need for french fries (McDonalds has better) to be served with katsu. Also İ would have preferred pork (which is unavailable at this venue). With added 5% service charge the bill came to 153 manat. (İ ordered nothing to drink. They did not have Japanese beer on offer but did have Japanese plum wine and sake.) Would rate 10 stars if it were an option. The salmon maki came with a huge amount of fresh salmon and very tasty. Everything of high quality, reading other reviews people have said the cooked sushi isn't great, I myself haven't tried it but I would go with the raw sushi.
