Updated review: went again and we were the only people there and the to go wait for food was 1.75 hours. They also said their credit card machine wasn't working and we had to pay in cash. Lolita might provide good service but today's experience was absolutely horrible. I adjusted the service score to be the average of the 1 today and the 5 from last time. We wasted our last day at the beach waiting with no updates. We ordered normal items for 4 people.
Previous review: It was a delightful meal on the beach, within a short 5 min walk from Margaritaville. There is a bar but additional table seating right on the beach. The mango smoothies were overflowing from the 12 oz cups. So much that the total amount was double the cup size. The pina colada was a little more reasonable but overflowing as well.
The food was plentiful and very well seasoned (not too salty and not underseasoned). We got conch balls, conch snack, fish snack (fried whole fish with bones), and shrimp snack. The snacks included fries and a few fried plantains with dipping sauces. The conch balls/ fritters and the fried shrimp were my favorite but everything tasted fresh. Maybe because their have multiple items to fry, the food was a little soggy and may have benefitted from a hotter fryer. The batter was nice and light so it wasn't too greasy.
Service was amazing. Lolita brought out our food as they were ready (generally one at a time). As it was a small shack, it did take about 30 minutes to get our food and 45 minutes until everyone got their plates. We had originally ordered the watermelon smoothie but they noticed the watermelon didn't look great and recommended we get something else which we greatly appreciated.
Based on the location, atmosphere, service, and pretty good food, we will be going again! We just wished they were open for dinner as well...
Oh, and despite the name, no crab (or lobster) on the...
Read moreAwsome crab We are tourist from Poland, where it is difficult or I should rather say impossible, to eat a fresh crab. So beeing in Nassau, we were looking for crab and in google we found Crab and Ting’s menu. So we went there in the evening and asked for a crab. We were told that the place had been alredy closed and a young man proposed us to come the next day. Unfortunately because of the need of some improvement to the booth, that had to be done on that day, Sue, the owner, was unable to prepare the food and she promised to do it for a next day. It was worth to wait- crab balls were great and the baked stuffed crab was was awsome. The place is typical beach booth but the food was like in a good restaurant. Also we we had got an extra coconut drink for everyone..Thank you Sue and your co-workers. It was one of the best meals during our 8days...
Read moreWhat a great place to grab a lounge chair, beer and a view! Located on Junkanoo beach in Nassau. Our family watched the cruise ships as they docked at the port for a couple hours. The proprietor Sue was great for local information to myself and my family. Great deals on beers and more! Most other businesses on this beach are kinda pushy to get you to buy from them. Sue was not!! She made great Smoothies, beer, liquor and food for all of our party. The kids drank Nonalcoholic fresh fruit smoothies free all day. Delicious! Junkanoo beach is beautiful and provides great entertainment for all ages. From our 3 year old to 50 year olds were having a great time at Crabs & Ting. Sue offered free seating to all patrons. FYI At this beach Lounge chairs are a premium. I recommend Sue at Crab & Ting to all ages. They even have Beer & Shot...
