Review of Ichiban Restaurant:
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Ichiban Restaurant during my trip to the Bahamas, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm welcome that set the tone for the evening.
We began our meal with the Harumaki Vegetable Spring Rolls, which were nothing short of spectacular. Each bite was crispy and flavorful, making them the perfect start to our dining adventure. They were beautifully presented and paired wonderfully with the dipping sauce, elevating the entire experience.
We ordered the Hot and Spicy Fish for our main course, which was the highlight of our meal. This dish featured a deep-fried whole fish topped with ginger, scallions, and a medley of vegetables, all drizzled with a special chili sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, flavorful meat inside. It was a delightful explosion of flavors that truly showcased the culinary prowess of the chefs at Ichiban.
We also indulged in the Chicken Teriyaki, which did not disappoint. The chicken breast was perfectly sliced and served on a bed of sautéed onions, generously topped with a luscious teriyaki sauce. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was remarkable, making each bite enjoyable and satisfying.
The wait time for our meals was reasonable, and the staff was incredibly courteous and attentive throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations, adding to the overall positive experience.
The atmosphere at Ichiban is a wonderful blend of island casual and elegant dining. The decor is tasteful and inviting, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated setting that's perfect for enjoying a delicious meal.
Overall, Ichiban Restaurant exceeded our expectations and became a highlighted experience of our time in the Bahamas. If you’re looking for mouth-wateringly delicious food paired with excellent service in a beautiful setting, I highly recommend visiting Ichiban. You won’t be...
Read moreMy husband, my toddler, and I decided to go here for dinner when we had to abruptly stay in the Bahamas for another few days after hurricane in our hometown of Houston, we walked down from our hotel and it was a hot humid night so I was looking forward to sitting in some AC to have dinner. I called it ahead and they said they took walk-ins. They were very busy on the first floor I wouldn’t mind waiting like 1015 minutes to get a seat but they put us upstairs all by ourselves in a room that had zero AC flow in it air conditioning unit was turned on, but I think it must not have been working properly so I was sweating during my dinner and I just couldn’t enjoy myself fully as the room was probably about 90° we was nice but because we were the only people in the room, he didn’t come back very often to ask us how we were doing if we needed anything I got the beef with broccoli and it was OK. Some of the meat had some harder chewy bits, the flavor was decent. My husband got, sashimi and some sushi and he said it was good, not amazing, but good. We’ve definitely had some amazing sushi before and I’ve certainly had better tasting beef with broccoli. I’d probably give this restaurant a miss if I was in Nassua again. I was just not impressed after my hopes of having a nice air-conditioned dinner...
Read moreGlad I came. This review is coming from a crewmember on a multi-day 'overnight.' I would recommend Ichiban to any fellow crewmembers or general patrons looking to splurge on a good meal. Though crewmembers tend to be cheap, I went ahead and tried the spring rolls and coconut shrimp as appetizers and I recommend both. My entree consisted of two sushi rolls; the Bahamian Dream and the Three Musketeer Hosomaki. I could handle the raw conch at first but probably shouldn't have gotten two rolls with it. I ended up eating the rest of the roll minus the conch but don't take that as complaining. Everyone's texture taste is different. The highlight though was definitely the 'ice cream sandwich.' Instead of the traditional cookie, they make a pressed caramelized nut granola for the top and bottom that tastes like a soft peanut brittle. Mixed with the ice cream , it was absolutely delicious and a highlight to my trip so far. Try it if...
