Glad I came. This review is coming from a crewmember on a multi-day 'overnight.' I would recommend Ichiban to any fellow crewmembers or general patrons looking to splurge on a good meal. Though crewmembers tend to be cheap, I went ahead and tried the spring rolls and coconut shrimp as appetizers and I recommend both. My entree consisted of two sushi rolls; the Bahamian Dream and the Three Musketeer Hosomaki. I could handle the raw conch at first but probably shouldn't have gotten two rolls with it. I ended up eating the rest of the roll minus the conch but don't take that as complaining. Everyone's texture taste is different. The highlight though was definitely the 'ice cream sandwich.' Instead of the traditional cookie, they make a pressed caramelized nut granola for the top and bottom that tastes like a soft peanut brittle. Mixed with the ice cream , it was absolutely delicious and a highlight to my trip so far. Try it if you have room!

I went there for my bday celebration 🎉. We were seated outside on the patio what had a lovely view. The fresh beach breeze was delightful. The food was great I had the General Tao Chicken which I can say hands down was the best I have tasted in years. We also had veg. Spring rolls calamari, spicy octopus, Miami heat sushi roll and lobster roll. One of us even had the steak it was all amazing. We had some amazing drinks as well can't remember the names but they were mixed just right that we got a good buzz off of them definitely worth the pricing. The only thing I did not like was one of my friends ordered shrimp Alfredo which one took forever to reach and when they brought the to go serving size was not worth the price of it. This is why I only gave them a four star rating.

Our party had a Tokyo lemon drop, a Melon Girl, red curry, pork shumai, and fried spring rolls. The Tokyo Lemon Drop had little to no alcohol and tasted like Minute Maid Lemonade. The Melon Girl in contrast was extremely strong where the alcohol overpowered the other flavors. The pork shumai was microwaved and developed a hard crust on the bottom. These were easily the worst pork shumai I’ve ever had. The fried spring rolls were fairly standard but exceptionally oily. The red curry was primarily coconut milk with little flavor. In addition, there was an upcharge for requesting no meat in the red curry (when it usually comes with meat) which we were not informed about until receiving the bill, which was a bit unusual.

We've been coming to the Bahamas for decades (Atlantis addicts) and I can easily say that Ichiban is one of the best Asian/Fusion restaurants you will find. Ichiban is located downtown just near the newly renovated marina. If you are eating there at night, you might be lucky enough to catch a cruise ship coming or going - be sure to request outdoor seating which is upstairs. They have plenty of variety from Chinese to Thai and some of the best sushi on the island. All of this with reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere. We met the owners and they are absolutely a pleasure to be around. Definitely my go to spot for the family.

I was really disappointed in this place. Be warned: The water is $12 a bottle! We walked by several times before a day it worked to come for dinner and had high hopes. The fish was not fresh. We had a roll with the grouper and conch and honestly, it was gross. The tuna was not even red anymore. The ribs were overlooked. The spring rolls were good, and the gyoza. That’s all I can say for them. Also, there’s a 15% gratuity address directly to your tab, which they do have in fine print at the bottom of the menu. Overall, pricey but not at all worth it. Might as well head to Arawak Cay.
