For tourists, if you want to get disrespected, just go.
I saw the comments saying this restaurant has a music live performance so I was interested and went today. BUT I waited for an hour until the singer finally showed up, he performed for 10mins and took 15mins break. Personally, the performance was overrated. The staffs there were unorganised and a bit mistreated tourists. When I was having my food for about an hour, I was asked to move to another table which was near the corner at the restaurant just to give space to a bunch of local guests. When I kindly asked a male staff for a check, I waited for 15mins but nobody came back. I decided to go inside the cashier and pay. I saw most of the staffs sitting , chatting and ignoring me. As a tourist, I felt mistreated and disrespected.
For the food, it was average. I tried Khinkali with sour cream and Ojakhuri with chicken. khinkali was average because it was too much sauce, I could only taste sour cream and dill. The Ojakhuri was too oily and the chicken was too dry and I didn’t finish it.
Overall, this place is too overrated and there are many restaurants nearby that have yummier Georgian food and better staff service with a good reasonable price.
My advice: It takes 20mins for food to get ready so ask the staff for WIFI (but quite weak) Go after 7:30-8pm for the live music Make sure you don’t have plans for the night if you get to this place for dinner. Everything takes time and maybe forget your order as well… BE READY for being...
Read moreOnly one thing save this place - absolutely amazing musician Dimitry! Bravo, my friend, your talant is worth to visit Tbilisi and stay here for a long time. We spent many unforgettable evenings listening for this gentle soft voice. I spent my birthday in Baoma and must say without Dimitry it could have been the worst my birthday ever. The food was awful, my karbonara was just overcooked noodles, i couldn’t eat it and ordered mushrooms with cheese, but they forgot about my order. It was nice of them to bring a birthday cheesecake with a candle, but the taste was old I ate only one piece. By the way, they also forgot to bring us our ordered tea. And to get a glass of wine we needed to remind it to the waitress for many times. But the worst thing is waiters, if I’m not mistaken called Mia and Georg. Georg forgot about our orders, and while we were waiting he was passionated arguing with Mia. And what about Mia she is just ill-mannered boorish. When we shamed them that they forgot about our tea, she answered that there is no Georgian tea in Georgia. It’s a pity that in such a hospitable country we met such a bad staff. But I highly recommend all the tourists visit the closest “Balcony 7” and “Alcoholic” with amazing food and exceptional staff who really cares about...
Read moreAvoid this place at all costs. From the moment we walked by, it had all the signs of a tourist trap — and unfortunately, it lived up to that expectation. We sat on the rooftop, which might have contributed to the experience, but the service was genuinely poor and the staff came off as rude.
We ordered Aperol Spritz, but what we received tasted more like a sugary soda with no trace of alcohol. When we politely questioned whether it was actually Aperol, the staff became defensive and dismissive. After a 10-minute wait, they returned with an empty Aperol bottle as “proof,” which felt more like a staged response than a genuine explanation.
The story kept changing — first insisting it was Aperol, then claiming that’s just how it’s made “in Georgia.” Things escalated to the point where we were threatened with police involvement over simply questioning our drink. For a pricey cocktail, the experience was deeply disappointing and frankly, unprofessional.
There are so many wonderful places in the city — this is not...
