One of the best experiences in Tbilisi. We walked in knowing that the ticket/entrance fee per adult are 15GELs including the guided tour.
The lady/guide (forgot her name) was extremely kind and friendly to us. There were two Russian ladies before us who had booked the tour and were waiting. The guide told us the tour might be delivered in Russian and asked if we don’t mind waiting, since we don’t speak Russian. We definitely did not mind waiting, but ended up being lucky when a man and his son walked in asking for a tour in English. She was absolutely phenomenal; she delivered the tour in both English and Russian. An incredible woman indeed. She would narrate about the part/section we were at in English first, then deliver it again in Russian for the ladies.
The history of the wine-making in Georgia is absolutely fascinating, they know exactly how to make it, serve it, toast it, and drink it!! What an incredible place to learn about the oldest wine-making place...
Read moreThis place is a highlight of our trip to Tbilisi. We came late, not knowing about tours schedule and desperate to have some good wine and learn about wine history. Tour guide, a nice guy, he accepted us in the middle of his tour and explained to us all we missed afterwards. Unfortunately wine tasting finished but Lika was kind enough to give us few wines to try! She was super nice, polite, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She explained for each wine the smell taste production… wines were amazing and tasty btw! So for sure we decided to come back and have a proper tasting tour. Tour guides there really put effort to explain all to you and for really small price. Thank you guys for amazing experience, we love the place and we re for sure coming back! We already recommended this to our friends and for sure we ll keep on...
Read moreHighly recommended! We didn’t find this museum in any guide or website about Tbilisi places to visit but just saw on the map and decided to go because of wine enthusiasm. The ticket is 15 lari and a tour with a guide is free. The place is amazing itself because it’s located under the ground in old part of Tbilisi which is preserved since 15-17th century. The guide told us about history of the place, wine making culture in Georgia and about the restaurant which will be opened there in several months. After you can visit a wine shop/bar and taste some traditional and unusual wines or just spend good time there having a glass of wine or buy a bottle. The staff is really professional (both our guide and a person in...
