The Olive Street Food — Restaurant in Bruges

I'm a big fan of the food here and even a bigger fan of the staff! The concept is great and very inclusive. I'm amezed by the quality each time I come back and by the friendly smile. It's a small place, but very approachable and once you have your food you can find a nice spot in the center to sit and enjoy it. Last time I saw three other couples already enjoying their food at the water close-by before I got there! I'm a fan of the vegan box, it's quite a portion but when you're hungry you'll manage! The salad has a great flavour combination with the dressing, the fries are delicious with the peel still on them. Some crispy and some more soft! I'm not the biggest fan of the red sauce in the box, but if you ask to leave it out or switch I think that's possible. But taste it first! The vegan burger on the other hand has one of the best textures I've come accros. But the grilled vegetables are definitely worth it as well, put them in a wrap and all flavours combine with each bite. The staff will answer your questions and I love seeing them working together, makes the food...

45 minute wait. Not even "sorry".

My girlfriend and I had looked for a restaurant for dinner but most were closed. Olive street "food" was open, sadly.

When I made my order of a vegan box, the front-of-house 'face of the company' rudely scowled at the till as if my order was the food equivalent of baileys and lemonade before going back to browsing instagram... oh, and then conforming the order. Just rude.

Then the 45 minute wait in the cold. The wait wasn't long because it was busy. Oh no. Many people behind us in the queue got their "meal" first. When I asked where the meal was it was "just being made now"... disrespect is what comes to mind.

When the food was finally ready, the cooks were shouting at each other about how it was "vegan" (if you don't like cooking it, don't have it on your menu). Then they gave us these box "meals" with a "there". No "sorry for the wait". Nothing.

Bad service, awful food, but with an eleven-year-old working there for no money, their profit margins...

A Fantastic Vegan Find in Bruges!

I just had the pleasure of trying The Olive Street Food in Bruges, and I was thoroughly impressed, especially with their vegan offerings! It's always a treat to find delicious plant-based options when traveling, and The Olive truly delivered.

Their vegan patty was really good – flavorful and satisfying, making for a truly enjoyable meal. What really stood out to me, though, was their attention to detail with the vegan mayonnaise and other dips. It's such a thoughtful touch that elevates the experience for vegans and shows a true commitment to catering to different dietary needs.

Beyond the taste, I found the overall value for money to be excellent. You get a substantial and delicious meal without breaking the bank.
