Quickly reading through some other not-so-great reviews before sitting down, I thought this was a tourist trap, but we were hungry and the location was excellent and there were free tables outside. However, I was pleasantly surpries by both the food and service. I had the moules frites which was great. It was the first time I had this classic in Belgium so don't know how it stands up to its competition, but the mussles tasted fresh and was well cleaned and the fries were nice and crispy. The server was very nice and friendly as well. Because of the location the price is probably on the high side and on top of that, when you get the bill the server urges you to give a tip as "service is not included". I would have left a tip anyway, but demanding to give a tip sees a bit unusual to me and was the only thing that took away from the otherwise very nice visit.

I can't recommend this place enough! I was there twice with my parents on December 5th and 6th and it was just amazing. The waiters treated us really nicely and we felt really welcome. They even got me a candle and sang me happy birthday as we mentioned it was my birthday. Unfortunately I don't know the name of all the waiters, but Amit and Isaac (sorry if I misspelled it) were the ones we were more in touch with and they are wonderful. The food is really good, we tried the bitterballen (make sure you order them if you go there!), the Flemish stew, fish and chips, salmon, shrimps with garlic butter, lamb. Everything was delicious. The desserts were also really good. I can't wait to go back to Brugge and eat there again. Ps: I don't have photos of all the dishes but here are the ones I have.

We came for lunch at this attractive restaurant in the center of Bruges. In addition to plentiful outdoor seating there is 2 floors of indoor seating and we were promptly shown to a table inside. It was comfortable and quiet. We had the flemish beef stew and a ceasar salad. The salad was nice but the beef stew was excellent. The beef was tender and is prepared with dark beer giving it a rich flavor. It comes with fries and a small green salad. Perfect. Server was attentive and we didn't wait long for our order despite the crowd. The prices were reasonable. PS: There is an elevator to the bathrooms on the 2nd floor so you can avoid the stairs of death.

Genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. One star is too generous for this place. Horrendous service which left three people speechless and uncomfortable opting to leave as quickly as possible and not having a chance to enjoy the view. The staff here really need to find another career or seek professional help when it comes to this industry. Hospitality? No, more like hostility.

As for the food and drink there are several places surrounding where we found much better food at much better prices, with people that actually seemed to be enjoying their jobs.

Finally, the staff only slightly warmed to us when settling the bill after discovering that a member of the party spoke Dutch, questioning her as to why she was speaking English. A very rude and discriminatory comment which suggested the level of service we had received may have been due to the language we spoke upon entering. No Covid checks done when entering either.

24 hours on this experience is still bothering me. Below average food and drinks for extortionate prices. Avoid this place of you don't want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth. Figuratively...

This place is worth stopping in for the atmosphere alone; located in a lovely main square close to DeBurg and Bruges City Hall. We went in the spring and sat for nearly two hours, drinking beer and snacking on waffles and mussels. They have a three beer sampler, served on an adorable wooden tray on which they have a red sweet beer, a typical Belgian wheat beer, and a more hearty stout. The waffles are very good, but hey.... you're in Belgium and I do not think it is possible to have a bad waffle anywhere in this amazing country.

The service is courteous and attentive and the staff speaks many languages. However, they do not speak Spanish and I had to assist a few patrons from Mexico and Spain, which I happily did. If you are an English, German, Dutch, or French speaker, you will be fine. This is the perfect place to dine and relax in a lovely area with great views. There are many better options from a food standpoint, but at the end of the day location, location location...

Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off! We've been coming here for years as it's a beautiful room on a stunning square - but always came away feeling like they took advantage of us: hidden charges, and just niggeling things... This time, though, they went too far. I went in early in the day to book for the evening as I know it gets busy. The waiter was friendly enough during the process of taking my details, time, number of people (only 2), etc. I then asked if he would like my mobile and he very abruptly said 'No, but you'll have to give me €20 for the booking!' I laughed and explained I'd been coming for years and never had to do this before. I said they were free to do this but I wasn't, and walked out. We saw later that evening, as we walked by, they were virtuallt empty! The owners really need to investigate this - there are just too many nice restaurants in Bruges to put up with this. We won't...
