UPDATE: went back to Brunch Sa this weekend for another round of breakfast and was not disappointed! Again perfect croissant and coffee. Tried the eggs Benedict with salmon. Delicious. Also had the Maple Waffles - very tasty too! Spoke with one of the restaurant partners and reaffirmed that this is by far the best western-style breakfast option in BiH imho.

This is the best (western-style) breakfast restaurant option in all of Sarajevo, and likely in all of BiH.
FOOD -- I'm not giving it a fifth star for food because the eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was a bit too lemony, and the side of sausage I ordered could have been cooked longer to give more crispness to it. The croissant however was perfectly baked and delicious. My coffees were also perfect. I don't recall if there is a pancake offering on the menu or not...but they have waffles, so I would assume pancakes are possible, but it's still a question mark (for the manager -- please add a pancake dish, preferably a blueberry pancake dish!).
SERVICE -- Service was good, but there was some english language barriers that had to be overcome with the two servers. The manager however spoke perfect english and he helped when there was a tiny bit of confusion. Not a deal-breaker, but it's surprising to me that there was no "check-in visit" by waitstaff a minute or two after the meals were served to see how everything was tasting and if there is anything else that can be brought to the table. Perhaps "Brunch Sa" can implement this as a part of their table service strategy to raise the bar a bit.
ATMOSPHERE -- So thankful to have another non-smoking restaurant available in Sarajevo, but with the windows wide open, cigarette smell blew in to the indoor sitting area from people sitting right outside and smoking at their tables. Be aware of this. I wish there was a way to do away with that completely. Smelling like an ashtray is never fun. The restaurant does not appear to be handicap accessible, and the bathroom is definitely not handicap accessible.
All in all, this place was pretty good. I will for sure be a return customer! The main question in my mind will be whether or not, or for how long, can the management can keep this restaurant performing at a high level and producing quality meals and dining experiences. I hope they keep it up! Definitely...
Read moreI was recommended coming here from Instagram and had looked forward to the esthetics and the food. The place is lovely.
The food was good and so was the coffee and juice.
The staff that work here are another story in itself. They come off as bored, entitled, rude and slow, they also seem more interested in engaging conversation with each other than helping the consumer. They also seem to be badmouthing the customers in Bosnian when they think they aren't looking or leaving.
We had to ask twice for both the coffee we wanted, extra utensils and for an extra glass of water with our coffee (we only got one) the waiter we got was apparently too lazy get us another and commented "oh only one is needed I see" (that is a very unusual way to get your coffee here and for the price you are paying for a singular espresso you would think a glass of tap water was asking for too much).
When he returned the provocative behavior continued and he felt the need to repeat again "and another pair of utensils, right?" After I had asked for this twice already; both when he got to our table and when I went inside after 15 minutes of waiting. I felt this commentary could have been spared.
Unfortunately due to this staff we will not be returning, their behavior ruined our impression of Brunch SA. I therefore can not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else where they won't ruin your experience and take your...
Read moreFood is great but somewhat let down by a few small things.
I was after a non traditional breakfast and this restaurant came up as being a great location for brunch. I came twice and went for the eggs Benedict.
It can get quiet busy so you might have to wait but that’s fine.
The first time I ordered, there’s an option on the menu to add additional items. It had the option for a croissant, salmon instead of beef etc. Given this, I assumed that the salmon would be served on a croissant instead of toast. Instead the crossaint arrived as a separate item which I did not want. My suggestion is to make this clearer on the menu.
The eggs Benedict itself was well cooked and a good portion. I opted for an extra poached egg. The meat was salty so I preferred the salmon and I’d recommend going with that.
It’s nice to sit outside in the heart of the old town and have the brunch so atmosphere is great.
It does get really busy and as a result I had to ask several times for the bill. It became a bit frustrating because I had to wait ten minutes and waiters weren’t looking around or for whatever reason had forgotten me. For those reasons I have to knock some stars off for the service.
Other than that, I’d recommend visiting here for a good more healthier...
